Kind of reminds me that a number of people predicted a ground invasion of Libya, and I think I even bet some tech on it. Anybody else remember who that was/they were?
Unfortunately in this case, a ground invasion was much more likely since Israel has invaded Gaza numerous times before.

Syrian rebels are starting to clash with Lebanon soldiers. This could take some of the Lebanese pressure off of Hezbollah as well, though this whole cluster$%&@ in the region is only going to destabilize things even worse.

1. NATO hasn't invaded.
2. Turkey hasn't done anything substantive.
3. It hasn't spilled over into other countries in any serious way.
4. Assad hasn't fled.
5. Assad hasn't been killed.
6. Chemical weapons haven't been used.
I could probably go on.

As for Israel, that was a bizzare idea...

Sensational claims like SpacingOutMan's post that Syrian fighting might spill over to Lebanon and Israel aren't going to happen, most likely,
It would be rather odd for the fighting to spill into Israel. Neither the government nor the rebels have anything to gain from encroaching on Israeli territory and having forces obliterated by the IDF.

Assad isn't a big enough idiot to do that but the bigger nuts in the rebel army seem to be. Perhaps when the rebel army is defeated they'll flee to the surrounding countries with their arms and we'll hear about them running about as bandit groups but who knows at this point. The war is really dragging on.

Indeed, the repercussions for Lebanon and Israel (in the Golan) in particular in the event of victory or defeat of Assad's forces will be messy to say the least.Assad isn't a big enough idiot to do that but the bigger nuts in the rebel army seem to be. um show me a real picture of Irsaeli soldiers hiding behind children . so far to me your idea of them being cowards and using children as shields are just a myth. You are right about the picture. These cowards use techniques to actually minimize the risks for themselves.
They should man up and hide behind children, the way Hamas heroes do.

For Lebanon yes, for Israel no.
