[sup][img]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff252/b_graphix/CN/regentL.png[/img][/sup]adies and Gentleman of Planet Bob. We come to you today to announce that after three years and seven months at the helm of the mighty Valhallan war machine, our beloved Regent Chefjoe of Buckwheats has decided to retire from the daily grind of leadership. Love him or hate him, I think everyone here on Planet Bob can at least respect the passion, continuity and resolve Chefjoe has consistently shown.

[sup][img]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff252/b_graphix/CN/regentI.png[/img][/sup]t is hard for Valhalla to envision ourselves without Chefjoe as our Regent, as he has been the face of our alliance for so very long. Since the vote of no confidence fell upon Valhalla's first Regent noWedge of Sweatros, Chefjoe has led us through many years of glory and hardship. He has managed to keep our alliance fresh and at the forefront of global politics. The sheer amount of time and energy he has invested into our alliance and into our allies is simply overwhelming. He is without doubt the greatest leader Valhalla could have ever hoped for, and one of the greatest leaders Bob may ever see. As we take a look at other alliances around the globe, it is clear that not many are blessed with a leader that has served as long as Chefjoe. Nearly every alliance that has been around as long as we have has diminished greatly in numbers over the past 4 years, but not Valhalla. Valhalla is almost 40% larger in numbers than when Chefjoe took the reins. We have grown in size, members, prosperity, solidarity, global power, nation strength, and most importantly, casualties! We are in a better position and have become a far superior alliance than we were all those years ago. We owe this to the stability and integrity bestowed upon us by our most beloved Regent.

[sup][img]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff252/b_graphix/CN/regentT.png[/img][/sup]his leaves us in a precarious position. Our Charter is not entirely specific as to how to choose a new Regent in the event of retirement. Thus we decided to resolve this in typical Viking fashion. We drew a large circle in the sand. We filled the circle with our favourite things... barrels of mead, wenches, and blunt instruments of destruction. We tossed all potential candidates into the circle, and over the course of a week the one who drank the most mead, bedded the most wenches, and kicked the most ass emerged as the new Regent of Valhalla.

[sup][sup][img]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff252/b_graphix/CN/regent_W.png[/img][/sup][/sup]ithout further ado and on behalf of the membership of Valhalla, it gives us great honour and pleasure to present to you the 3rd Regent of Valhalla:

Congratulations on the (relatively) peaceful transition of power my friends.

I'm sure Chefjoe doesn't remember it, but he was in fact the first alliance leader I sought out as the head of SNAFU. You were a gentleman then and continue to be so today, have a good vacation, it is well deserved.

Good luck Tronix, you have mighty big shoes to fill.
