  1. I humbly request that the New Pacific Order levy formal charges against Invicta. The vagueness of the crime, makes it hard for me to counter. I may be guilty. But I want you to charge me. Give it to me straight. I want you to tell me why. If you do so privately, if you reply here; if the reason is something concrete, or you simply wanted some spice. I demand you respond. Yours sincerely, -KingWilliam
  2. PNN International Issue #20 "She took our money, the car, the house, but she didn't take our pens." This edition features: An Introduction to the August Revolution Musical Interlude Interview: Sir Paul Peace. Strength. Prosperity. Lies and Revolution (Poem) [hr] Prologue: Comrades and foreign Nation Rulers, today marks the end of the celebration of the August Revolution. Eleven years ago, Francos Spain began a movement that carries on to this day, a movement that has spawned many communities, both here and abroad. Today, we mark the coming of another year of Order, another year of Peace, Strength, and Prosperity, and another year in which we move ever forward. It is my supreme honour to present to the world of CN this publication in celebration of eleven years of Order, eleven years of The Pacific. o/ By Qazzian, Imperial Officer of Internal Affairs The Pacific Press - A jackboot on the pulse of world events. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network [hr] An Introduction to the August Revolution Comrades! Today marks one of the most important anniversaries of Pacifica. August 28th, which saw the beginning of the Pacific as we know it. The place from which the founding principles of the New Pacific Order emerged. We do not write because we took a date and thought “Hey, let's yak about whatever this certain day!” August 28th may not seem any different from other days; it's not uniquely warm in comparison to other August days or anything. We will not write about August 28th itself, for the date itself is not what we're going to honor. We're going to honor an event that has made August 28th 2003 an unique date. An event that sparked an initiative, a community, that makes every date unique. And we're not going to yak about whatever; we're actually have something to say. We will describe one of the most vivid and resonating events of another realm. A distant world, a different world, to some of you an unknown world. But still, it is our homeland, the world where Pacifica originates from. Out there, in 2003, an unjust and cruel status quo was in effect. Two classes existed: the Feederites, nations that lived in feeder regions, where nations were being spawned, and Userites, nations that existed in user-created regions. Through manipulation, deceit, and military occupation, the Userites came to exploit feeder regions for their own profit, leaving the Feederites downtrodden and bleeding. Through cronyism and submission to foreign powers, through their complete lack of interest in Pacifica itself, they fully deserve the name of oppressors. And through being but a close circle of buddies, and being completely detached and uncaring to the populace they ruled, they fully deserve the name of occupiers. They ruled Pacifica, while not being Pacificans themselves! Look at the corruption, at the nepotism, at the sense of superiority, and the unjust mechanisms designed to exploit. If you do, then you will see all the hallmarks of the regime of the infamous Thedoc, the Userites' tyrant. Was it no noble endeavor to overthrow such evil? I assure you, it was! But even out of this injustice, good things were spawned. While the apparent success of the Userites made them slothful and lacking in attentiveness, the Feederites grew in strength and resolve under their oppression, class consciousness ever rising due to both the deceit of the Userites and Franco's secret teachings. Or should I say, Francos Spain. Francos Spain. The first Francoist. We know for sure he existed, but he is nothing short of legendary. He sparked the ideas which Pacifica runs on today. He spearheaded the Revolution. He forged Francoist teachings. Few people still with us ever talked to him. We know him to have been very humble; after giving grand speeches, he liked to approach ordinary Pacificans, without holding his position above them. Knowing what he liberated his people from, he encouraged participation of ordinary Pacificans in the government, something that is still the principle of a Francoist community. The origin of Francoism exists in recognition of two classes: the already-mentioned Userites and Feederites. The interest of Userites is to exploit the feeder regions, while the Feederites seek independence from foreign occupation. These interests conflict with one another. There was no choice but to submit or strike. Francoist thought understands this, and naturally, it commands to overthrow the Userite tyranny. In the minds of Francos Spain and the earliest Revolutionaries, the class consciousness and courage grew and spread to more and more of the Pacificans. A new ideological vanguard emerged, which assembled more and more gravitas, though having no institutional power. Soon, their heroic words and deeds would break the chains of oppression. Anyone unfamiliar with the oppression and corruption of Thedoc's regime might think the Revolution came out of nowhere. Its origins were simple. Feeling that Pacificans were fed up with the oppression and conscious enough, Francos Spain declared the old regime abolished, and swore to back his words up with the sword. The spirit of Revolution and Pacifica was a powerful and great one ever since it was conceived; more and more of the masses joined Franco's crusade. They moved so relentless and fast that no reaction could counter them. Even the armies of the old regime themselves were so disillusioned that they yielded en masse with little to no resistance, as if they were never a loyalist military in the first place. In the meantime, Thedoc's regime attempted in desperation its last concealments of its true nature; but it all led to losing everything. The first phase of Revolution and the first victory of Pacifica was complete. Conceived in oppression, developed in conflict and validated in victory, Francoism prevailed. Pacifica prevailed. The reactionaries, exiled back into user regions, were still confronting the revolutionary state from all sides, all in vain. The Pacificans knew too much of their regime to be ever fooled into returning to their yoke or yield before outright aggression. On the fifth day of the Revolution, September 1st, 2003, The New Pacific Order was founded. What was sparked five days before rose from the ashes of war and formalized its independence. No longer would anyone oppress a Pacifican. Francos Spain became the new Delegate of the Pacific, holding supreme power in the Pacific Region, where the new era of Peace, Strength and Prosperity emerged. The light of Pacifica shines on. The Revolution sparked more than just a freedom from oppression back then; it sparked the initiative that lives on. This initiative is our community, comrades! This initiative is what has since dominated this world, just as it once shook the world in those five days! This initiative is the idea of the just and active society, one where the betterment of the community is the betterment of yourself. The Revolution is never complete. It always strives to change, to improve things. And there will always be reaction to change. There will never be a shortage of enemies of the Revolution. Let they be purged by our will, as Franco's will purged away the oppressive old regime. We see how great is our camaraderie, we see our strength and prosperity: is it all not worth defending? How many people are happy enough to be called defenders of Pacifica! They, who bled for Pacifica, truly know the value of her; they were threatened to be forced to part with her, and suffered to stand with Pacifica and her ideals. Ideals of comradeship, meritocracy and self-improvement. Ideals of Peace, Strength and Prosperity. Today we will recall the first time the oligarchic filth was punished for its atrocities. We will recall the foundation and consolidation of all that this alliance stands for. We will recall our origins, our roots; something we ought never stray away from. Francoism commands that we never maintain the institution that is not in the best interest of us, that much is true. But our roots lie in Francoism itself. And it does serve us best. As Pacifica prevailed at the August Revolution, so does it today. This celebration honors all the Pacificans who contributed to the dream of a Francoist world. It is done in your honor, as much as in honor of Francos Spain and all who participated in this Revolution. Where Pacifica became our shelter and our weapon. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network [hr] Musical Interlude Y11.T1.01 - eleven By Sir Paul The Pacific Press - A jackboot on the pulse of world events. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network [hr] Interview: Sir Paul A familiar face and a familiar voice, to all, our third interviewee for this August Revolution release is Sir Paul, our beloved Maestro. He has been here since the Revolution itself, and his service to the Order is unmatched. We promise he will sing as well, but his prose is no less relevant. Elegarth: You are perhaps the longest serving member of the New Pacific Order, having been part of the actual August Revolution in another realm. In your eyes, how much has the spirit of the revolution changed through the different ages and realms we have called home? Sir Paul: The biggest change has been a more outward facing order. After the revolution, it took a year and the realm surviving the death of Franco to convince the world we had a right to exist. When you're not constantly under siege, it changes the spirit of the people, from seeing the world as a threat to seeing it as an opportunity. That said, our goals have not changed, in that we seek peace, strength and prosperity for our member nations through order. Elegarth: Francoism has always been a central part of this 11 years' journey of order. What do you think is the main reason Francoism has been so successful in helping Pacificans expand Order over Chaos? Sir Paul: Francoism is about accepting the material world and pragmatically advancing your objectives. We have done that from day one, and try every day to see the world as it is. I always think about my trip to Europe, where the English, Romans and Venetians litter their capitals with monuments to their gone empires, while the Swiss monuments are to commemorate their defeats: they know that if the screw up, all can be lost. The same is true of us, if we practice Francoism. We also believe that no one is indispensable, remembering that if someone is more qualified at that moment, Francoism requires you to step aside. It increases the odds we do what is best for the order. Elegarth: In the last few years, the political environment in CN has changed, and turmoil has increased. Our Revolution is hence, not ended. Do you foresee a time and place where Pacifica can finally say the Revolution has met its goals of Order, Peace and Prosperity? Sir Paul: Entropy is always increasing. It takes work just to stay where we are. The peace, strength and prosperity of Pacifica will always be dependent on the work of her people. Continuous revolution is also eternal revolution. Elegarth: How important was the community that made the Pacific succeed in the original August Revolution? Would you say the principles that drove you then are still here, driving us ever forward? Sir Paul: The initial revolution was all about community, for before the order, there was none. Pacifica was a wasteland of recruiters: a way station to go someplace better. Franco was the first to say aloud that this place mattered, and those of us who agreed fought for her, and kept her as she has kept us. We still fight for her, and she still fights for us. Elegarth: Finally, not to abuse your time, is there a final message you would like to send to all our new younger players, a message that you feel we must not forget after these eleven years of Order? Sir Paul: While we like to remember the big things, it is attention to the small things that matter. Keep your aid and trade slots full. Vote for our senators. Be wise with your investments. Help out your department. Have fellowship with your fellow Pacificans. Attention and action with the small is what makes an alliance great. Finally, I want you, if you still have it, to go find your ruck sack from basic training at the Academy. Inside you'll find that heavy rod we made you carry around. Look closer, and you'll find it's a general's baton. Each of you has the power to lead an army, a nation, an alliance, but you start by leading yourself. By Elegarth The Pacific Press - A jackboot on the pulse of world events. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network [hr] Peace. Strength. Prosperity. “Peace is the only battle worth waging” (Albert Camus) Chaos. Our world is filled with it. Others revel in it, thrive on it, and call it normal. Peace through order and discipline is the way of Pacifica. Our journey to peace often times finds us on the opposite side of the spectrum, in conflict with those seeking chaos. When we must struggle through the obstacles to that goal we are forced to adapt, to improve and to excel further than we thought. Peace is a fragile state and there will always be forces that try to take it from us. Sitting in a state of peace has led to our overconfidence in the past. That is a mistake that we must remember and strive to never repeat. For eleven years we have used our military prowess, our economic skill and our political savvy to achieve our goals. We have seen a Pax Pacifica in the past and we allowed ourselves to grow complacent. Remember our past, learn from it and achieve better. We are the Order and we will always stand firm and triumph. By Brennan, Imperial Officer of Internal Affairs The Pacific Press - A jackboot on the pulse of world events. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” (Mahatma Gandhi) Weakness is a foreign concept to a Pacifican. Weakness is what others are, what lesser people are. No, Pacificans are strong. The most important thing to understand, though, is that we're strong not because we're the best, or the smartest, or have the most useful tools at our disposal - though all those things are true. No, Pacificans are strong because they are never alone. Pacificans are strong because of their comrades, their brothers and sisters, who are always beside them in times of peace and in times of war. We are strong because we are united. We are strong because our bonds of camaraderie tie us together. We are strong because we do not let our fellows fall. And, it is because we are strong that I will forever say: Pacifica prevails! By Farrin, Imperator Emeritus The Pacific Press - A jackboot on the pulse of world events. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network “Of prosperity mortals can never have enough.” (Aeschylus) It is sometimes easy to lose sight of our ultimate goal as Pacificans. Amidst all the squabbles and the challenges of chaos, amidst the setbacks and challenges to our Order, we can forget why we have a culture of meritocracy, and why we unite our strength within an ordered autocracy. This goal is seeking an ever greater perfection of our potential and our being - moving towards the infinite Pacifican Prosperity. It is for this reason that we seek to re-evaluate and improve every process - even when it is not broken. It is for this reason that "good enough" is never enough, and the mediocre are pushed to perfection. To be a Pacifican is to be on an unstoppable roller coaster toward the ideal of prosperity; an ideal we might stop traveling toward, but nevertheless one that comprises a journey which every day leaves us as better beings. Proudly part of the Pacific News Network [hr] Lies and Revolution (Poem) In a region built on lies And one man on top, One must rise To bring it to a stop. The man who was The man who came The man whose name was Francos Spain. Lies fed on plates From a puppet regime In order to silence the fates From those whom they deem. The movement was swift The movement was fast The movement would be one to last. It started small, With a nod Like a call, From the gods. The mass rose As the place crumbled, The rationalizations hit new lows As the region tumbled. Pacificans rose, Their blood began to boil, At the people who feigned To be loyal. And they came swift They came fast And they would make their impact last. The delegacy was open, Franco saw, As the revolutionaries were hopin’, This would end it all. The regime had more ideas, As the revolutionaries saw, And hoping to expose their fear, By ending it all. The revolutionists continued to rise, From the darkness of night, Discovering the lies, Oh what a sight! And like that it was done, In the blink of an eye, The delegacy was won And the lies would die. And with the revolt done And the lies drowned The NPO decided to have more fun, “Let’s go to Cyber Nations!” the rumors sound. And a new home was built, One with Order There was no guilt As they built the border. And Franco lives still With what he has done “We are a city upon a hill.” The Revolution was won. 3. Within our world, it seems the concept of the Constant Revolution is lost on many. The spurned want to discuss the evils of Pacifican-Past. The uninformed want to bring up the inefficiencies or deficits they think still exist. The propagandists would tell you that the Constant Revolution was merely a way for Pacifican leadership to distort our pseudo-philosophy to whatever they saw fit. In this short entry I will explain the concept, its goals, and its practical applications while dismissing common misconceptions on the idea of: The Constant Revolution Any student of Darwin can explain, at a base level, the theory of evolution: The idea that organisms adapt to their environments based on their circumstance and need. The concept of the Constant Revolution was crafted in the image of the evolution within our natural world. Seeing the advantages that adaptability has within the animal kingdom, it only makes sense to bring that same adaptive quality to an alliance. The Constant Revolution is an idea that advocates for constant reevaluation. A common misconception is that the Concept itself argues for continual change and trial-and-error type scenarios to be used and reused within different context to try and form a more perfect Order. Nothing could be further from the truth. The idea is to constantly reevaluate oneself and the Order, to analyze and identify what can change, what should change, and what will change for the greater good of the alliance. It is not just a systematic concept, but a personal one as well. The first question any ruler might ask themselves before changing their alliance: What they can do to improve themselves and be the change? The common claim is that this Concept allowed Pacifica's leadership to distort our alliance's shape and motivations until it fit with their agenda. While no alliance can claim an entirely pure history, bereft of corruption or its share of mistakes, the Concept itself is not as open to abuse as one might think at first glance. Not only is the idea designed to enable swift change when needed, it was also built purely from a scientific standpoint. The only change that can truly be justified through the concept of the Constant Revolution has to provide empirical evidence supporting the change. We deal purely in the Material. No moral concepts nor emotional states influence the Constant Revolution. It is purely motivated by material facts and empirical data. Nothing more, nothing less. While no ideology is immune from the corruption of man, the Constant Revolution strives to raise itself above unflinching ancient ideologues and become less of a set-in-stone concept and more of a progression towards a more perfect Pacifica. Holton, Voice of the Order
  4. I've been analyzing the war a lot, and also reading Tywin's blog's and I think he has a point about the Three big spheres,(Polarsphere, Platysphere, and Pacifica) so I thought I would make a little outline of what the core of Pacifica is. This isn't perfect, so feel free to notify me of any mistakes that need fixing or any improvements that could be made.

  7. Expectations It has now been a month since the Order left terms and the hard work of innumerable Pacificans saw its reward. It is of no controversy to say that they surpassed all global expectations in the process. When entering terms over eleven months ago, most international observers worked with the hopeful assumption that the Order would decay under the dual pressures of isolation and deprivation, as so many others have in the past. Buying into their own oppositionalist propaganda they saw a weak and untested people, a tyrannical, decadent and incompetent government, and ultimately an alliance incapable of survival when put to the test. This particular prophecy, shouted with such self-confidence, is now understandably long forgotten by its proponents. In place of this lost prophecy we see an Emperor who wins plaudits the world over, and a people so universally respected that leaders wish they could fire and replace their own. A New Emperor A Great War heralds two things of importance in the world. The first is certain: a sea change in politics. The old blocs fall away, new ones emerge, and all the power-relations of the world melt away only to recrystallise in ways that one could never have imagined. The second is less certain, but nevertheless flows naturally from the first: a change in the Emperor of the New Pacific Order. The Emperor serves the Order, not vice versa, and so is always mindful that he must be best suited for the circumstances of the day -- as those change so it becomes more likely that the Emperor will. Thus we saw Comrade Dilber take over after the Great Patriotic War, Comrade Revenge take over after the First War of Retribution, and Comrade Emperor Cortath take over after the Armageddon War. Here it is of importance to note that for the first time in Pacifican history its Emperor has come from the economic wing of the Order -- a break from the historic dominance of the military, diplomacy and justice wings. The expertise and understanding that this brought was vital to the emphasis put on growth in the initial weeks following the war, as entire systems had to be overhauled to deal with the new restrictions specifically designed to stunt growth and demoralise Pacificans. And overhauled they were, as the restrictions were swept to irrelevance and growth proceeded at an unprecedented pace, moving the alliance from unsanctioned to second in score and strength, and giving the Order's former enemies a fright in the process. Significant at this time was the efficiency with which reparations were dealt with, especially after the appointment of Comrade Jasmine -- an efficiency which soon earned her an Imperial office. In this we can begin to recognise the second drive that Emperor Cortath brought with him: the drive for reform. The public face of this has been the transformation of the Imperial office, with with five out of nine Imperial Officers now owing their appointment to the new Emperor -- none of them coming from the pre-Bobian 'old guard'. But this is merely a symptom of a wider movement, demonstrating fresh strategic priorities and structures for the new era, from reform in Council (an ongoing process) and modernisation in Pacific Bank, to reprioritisation in diplomacy and rapprochement with historic enemies. The Emperor's new politics in foreign affairs are understandably what will draw the most global attention, and on this count there is much to discuss. The most immediate issue that had to be resolved was the forcible opening of the red trading sphere. This had been a major issue of contention since the very earliest days of the Order, with comrades debating all manner of paths forward -- from one extreme to another and back again. The question of how to move forward was thus before the Order, not least because many of the new alliances springing up were headed by self-styled enemies of the Order -- from arch-moralist Villien with The Moralist Front, to arch-misleading journalist Schattenmann with the Cult of Justitia. The path chosen was what became known as Red Dawn, which not only embraced the new opening of the sphere but offered material assistance to the new red sphere alliances and encouraged other alliances to join. Though, as became generally known, this particular path was blocked by the G15 until after the war terms expired and the treaty could be officially signed, it has nevertheless proved itself both as an experiment in a more cooperative brand of diplomacy for the Order, and as a demonstration of that brand to international analysts. This policy received its first real test when Solidarity was set up as an anti-Pacifican alternative bloc on red, highlighting the remaining spirit of opposition even to an enslaved Order, and urging others to flock to its banner. However, such was the success of the path taken that Solidarity's anti-Pacifican call found no echo, and it ultimately dissolved as two thirds of its membership left to sign the Red Dawn treaty instead. Lesser known foreign policies that the Emperor headed up personally were the rapprochements with alliances where relations had traditionally been strained, thus demonstrating the strong desire to reshape the terrain within which the Order existed. In each case substantial concessions were required from both sides, and substantial hurdles (or trenches) had to be overcome. As one might expect progress has varied, with some hurdles bypassed quicker and easier than others; however, it has everywhere been significant, even if just in laying the requisite groundwork of humanisation and understanding. Nevertheless, as the Order exited terms the cry went up that it was signing treaties with old friends -- as if this were a surprise! Indeed, the Order is deeply indebted to a number of alliances, who continued to fight throughout the most destructive war in history while others ran for cover -- and this is a debt which the Emperor has desires to repay, with a substantial rebuilding fund established for the purpose. However, this only tells half the story. During the period under terms the Order reconciled with many old friends and made many new ones -- often those dissatisfied with the incoherence of the continuing anti-Pacifican propaganda. We can thus see closer relations with numerous alliances who fought with Karma, some of whom, such as NSO, the Order now has a treaty with, and some of whom found their pursuit blocked by the very same alliances that would later complain about the lack of treaties with Karma alliances. The history of the past ten months thus establish themselves proudly in the mind of the Pacifican, demonstrating what is best about the Order -- the ability to objectively view what does and does not work today, regardless of its success in the past. An Old People We have begun to tease out some of the grand strategic reasons for the Order's success in driving through terms, as it was rejuvenated economically, politically and diplomatically. However, one must refrain from subscribing simply to a 'great man' theory of events. No matter how great the man at the top, he can only work with the resources he has and within the limits they impose. This is doubly true of a Pacifican Emperor, who embodies the strengths, desires and fears of the Body Republic, with the mere duty of channelling them in a concentrated and effective manner. On this the new Emperor has found himself a wealthy man. One of the major expectations of the Order's enemies was first that the membership would desert during a destructive war, and then after that failed to materialise that they would desert during a year-long period of terms that pauperised them. This too failed to materialise -- something that was unsurprising to those with memories of the great sieges of 2003-2006. The importance of this strong Pacifican spirit and camaraderie is not to be underestimated, for it was this that allowed the growth of the institutions that the Emperor put to such good use in everything from maintaining surrender term compliance to ghost monitoring. No less important was that within the Body Republic he had many comrades of outstanding ability surging through the ranks and using the institutions of the Order to utilise their skills to their full potential. Thus we can see in Military Intelligence Comrade Waterana, or in the Praetorian Guard Comrade Gandroff, or in the Pacifican Bank Comrade Letum; and indeed, Comrades JesseEnd and Jasmine both came through the ranks during this period to become Imperial Officers. From this we can recognise a victory of Pacifican culture -- of permanent revolution and revolutionary institutions; of solidarity and meritocracy; of imperial sovereignty and freedom of potential. A New Golden Age Such has been the rapid advance of the Order over the past ten months that one could be forgiven for thinking that it had already entered a golden age as soon as the war ended and terms began. Freed from the constraints of power it was able to rediscover its revolutionary foundations, knock down and rebuild formerly load-bearing walls, and fill the resulting structure with a Body Republic of unlimited talents. Disastrous events thus proved an ideal opportunity for examination and reinvention of structures and policies throughout. But it goes without saying that one cannot speak of a golden age while an oppressor breaths down one's neck threatening to sink in its fangs. The oppressor has now gone, and the Order has survived a uniquely vulnerable moment in its history as it leapt over the abyss to independence. It would be remiss to presuppose what an intensely unpredictable future holds, but an engine as powerful as this Body Republic driven by this Imperial Staff may yet find that the coming age belongs to her.
  8. History is a strange thing. Through time it takes on new meanings to new people as facts get clouded or lost and the atmospheric context dissipates with the passing on of eye-witnesses. The more time that passes, the more distant and abstract the history becomes. The result? In most cases the moment is passed and lost forever; but the big moments remain in the memories of those that they comes into contact with. Unfortunately, as I outlined, it never survives intact, and through the process of degradation often becomes a clumsy weapon for use by those who know little of it (and understand much less). Given this we dread to imagine what becomes of prehistory -- that which occurred even before the existence of our world. The example par excellence of this has been the August Revolution and the early NPO under Comrade Franco. Of course we all know the basic story of the oppressed class rising up to defeat an empire, taking its destiny in its own hands against all the odds and facing down the armies of the whole imperialist world in pursuit of the ideals of 'Peace Strength and Prosperity'. It's a powerful and inspiring story no question, and it's one that still echoes in every move that the Order makes. But for many it's a vague story, little understood -- a mere series of stories and events without depth -- and for those looking for a way to attack Pacifica it has thus become an easy target to co-opt for subversive purposes. Suddenly the Dictatorship of the Feederites has disappeared and talk of electoral democracy and social niceties have taken their place, or the great purges have evaporated into thin air as talk of an individualised sovereignty attempts to take over, or (more recently) an ultimately powerless institution inside the Order suddenly becomes the king-maker, and destroyer of the Revolution. These are just a few examples, but they serve well to demonstrate the way that even the basics of such a monumental historical moment can be so drastically twisted and misunderstood in ways that at the time would have seemed impossible. It falls to me then, one of the last remaining Senators of Franco's Pacific, to expand the historic record and try to bring back some of what has been lost to time. In the past we have generally discussed The Pacific in chronological order, detailing the Revolution, the subsequent invasions, the advances, Comrade Franco's departure, and the NPO's reformation into the PRP [People's Republic of the Pacific] under the new Emperor. Doing this may give a useful overall picture of events, but it is also much to blame for allowing subsequent misrepresentations. Without going into the specifics of a principle, policy or moment it is impossible to provide and accurate picture, and thus the few details given are easily pulled out of their real context and placed into the context of a fledging ideology trying to base itself on Pacifica's historical experience. Due to time constraints it is impossible for all that is necessary to be said in this post, and so, having outlined the problems, it serves only as an introduction to an upcoming series that will aim to rectify them. In the brief interlude perhaps others interested in the subject (if there are any who read this blog) will put forward things that they would look to see discussed.
