Limitless Nexus & the Libertarian Party of Cybernations considers the war with the rogue GOONS a total victory, with them all gone from the AA among those who haven't deleted or faded into inactivity mode. We fought many months to grind down their warchests, but now not a single former rogue GOONS members resides on the AA & we have taken it over. On 10/7/2015, I declared on the rogue GOONS as soon as I got out of anarchy from a previous war, seeing as RUKUNU was already under attack. My last war with Bear Retrieval Unit, who had the biggest warchest among them, ended 2/8/2016. His final wars ended 2/10/2016. I'm pleased to announce COBRA has joined the Libertarian Party of Cybernations, making them the fourth alliance to gain full membership. We will be providing military assistance to them & others under attack from the rogue entity calling themselves GOONS. I can also announce the Libertarian Party has agreed on white peace with all the remaining alliances we fought in the Dre4m War, bringing that war to an official end. Manifesto of the Libertarian Party of Cybernations 1. What's the problem? The problem is that trade and aid sanctions are used as weapons, and used casually and disproportionately against micros and unaligned nations. The problem is that our liberty, our freedom of association and our freedom of commerce are routinely infringed. 2. What's the solution? Within the material realities of Cybernations, the solution is to do the same thing the large alliances do - band together to defend our interests in the senate. We must create a Libertarian Party in Cybernations. 3. Pursuant to that, the signatories will set up and maintain a forum, select candidates, and then work to elect them. 4. Senators who run under our platform and are elected will be committed to using their powers to defend the liberty, specifically the freedom of association and freedom of commerce, of all party members on the sphere. 5. We have been at war with Goons for three years. Think about that, three years. We aNiMaLz a alliance of 22 members have been fighting off and winning may I add against the Goons!! But anyway I am not here to talk trash I am here to praise our great warlord sir RUKUNU! Man that man is great! he single handedly held off multiple alliance and he is still here!! Anyway all you alliance who think you are strong all I have to say is come and get us! We are Destroying Goons and as well as this small almost unmentiable alliance Armpit Platoon, (But hey they are being funded by Umbrella and they even sent a nation to help them out and they are still geting crushed!!). I know a lot of peeps got butt hurt over my last post so I thought that maybe I should let you haters in on a little secret. Animalz isn’t going anywhere, we are here to stay and no one can stop us! I get tired of seeing loser alliances try to be us so I scouted out some targets for the picking after we finish of Armpit which should be fast since their “help” from Umbrella cant match our tech deals and skill. At least the people in Limitless understand us they realize that goons and others are actually weak and hiding behind game politics because they are too scared to get their hands dirty and fight. Even on the forums they attack Sir Kindle and the rebel but are always too scared to send more than one or two nations to do anything (or should I say nothing). Coup d'état Announcement: 'Coup Sardonic' jokes remain as unfunny as ever We're here to announce the semi-retirement of our Co-Pilot, KenMorningstar. Due to his otherworldly pursuits, he no longer feels that he can spend enough time on GOONS affairs and so he has retired as Co-Pilot, and joined the GOONS Council, where he can continue to aid and advise us on matters of importance at his leisure. We thank him for the time he has willingly wasted on CN to our benefit, and we wish him well in his endeavors. I had spent the last year in a blissful state of retirement after two years as Secretariat before that, but unfortunately all good things come to an end eventually. Which is why in his place, I have been selected as the next Co-Pilot for GOONS. I look forward to working closely with our allies and friends, as well as Sardonic, Milton and the rest of our government in the months ahead. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to serve GOONS well into the future. As Co-Pilot I am also here to make a pledge to the rest of you. Whether you are an ally, a friend, or someone who dislikes GOONS or myself personally, I pledge that my door will always remain open so that should there be any disputes, we can find a solution through constructive dialogue. First off, let's give credit where credit is due: Happy 8th anniversary of the Great Greenlight to Farkistan. On this day 8 years ago--a boring Wednesday--the Greenlight ushered in over 800 nations, Schloss Eggenberg was one of them. Ironically enough, I remained unaligned for 6 months, then joined GOONS just in time for ModGate, the Moldavi Rebellion/Affair, and the UnJust War. As an unaligned, I was completely ignorant of world events, ho ho. In November, the remaining gov, Sarafina and Alastor, told us to either really surrender and get on with our lives, or fake surrender and sign up for Hidden GOONS. So, I planted one on IRON's behind and got to work as a sleeper for the next 7 months. As a Hidden Goon, I first went to RoFL, a GOLD diaspora AA, where I was made MoD because I had a copy of that expletive-filled war guide by Arcades. We merged into Purge, another GOLD diaspora AA, where the MoD resigned because RoFL sucked, so I was made MoD there. Our "protector" TPF dissolved our triumvirate and installed a viceroy one day because they were planning to merge with a Starfox startup and get a new protector, so I was made Emperor of Purge. I pissed on DarkMistress's boots on the night IRON declared on GPA, and Purge was shortlisted for a good stomping, so we disbanded. I went to Browncoats, because ChairmanHal was Prime Minister and I had a huge crush on his brain. While there, I disrupted the attempts of a bunch of crappy Polaris toadie AAs, the Dark Confederate bloc—whose graves I piss on—to kick WarriorConcept and Sarafina, the remaining 2 GOONS Senators out of the Senate, which of course resulted in a lot of threats and a court martial for me, from which I emerged victorious. A few weeks later, most of the active members poached off to form a new AA under the protection of our duplicitous ally IAA, and Hal left for Valhalla, so I ran for MoFA. There I instigated the Bubblegum War along with BDC President Zzzptm to prevent half of Black from getting drawn into the war through our treaty chains. The plot was discovered when an idiot Browncoat (probably Han Fei Zi) posted logs in an attempt to save our honor, but any moron ought to have known that he was just going to get them killed, and that's just what happened because their is no honor on Digiterra, not now or ever and especially not then. The outcome was rough, but the plan was beautiful. Whatever your opinion, it did transition me from notable OWF loudmouth to international infamy. I fought Browncoats/Polaris/Dark Confederate PZI for a few weeks, then joined TOP, where my anti-Pacifican politics made me the most popular member behind Revolution XYZ. While there, GOONS finally disbanded for real in June 2008. I got in hot water at TOP, they kicked me out and converted my rebuilding aid debt to 1,600 tech and proposed to hold me in limbo until it was repaid, and I didn't much give a rat's ass post-GOONS, so I killed myself on Manic Monday along with several other luminaries who were also fed up with the Continuum-ruled world. Fortunately, as a body-snatching time observer, I am immortal. A couple weeks later, the noCB War began and Starfox and Doitzel asked me to join them and 8 others in forming a super group to verbally thrash the evil Continuum. It was supposed to last a couple weeks and then we'd be gone again, but within 2 or 3 days over 200 nations joined our AA, and Vox Populi was thus transformed from a troll party into a real live movement that went on for 9 months and laid much of the climate change needed for Karma to take down Continuum. In Vox, my niche was a weekly publication, This Week in Pacifica, which took spy reports and made them public sport. It was a blast. Post-Vox, I founded Cult of Justitia to continue- and expand on some of the serious philosophical ideals of Vox. The seriousness of our ideals, rigorous application standards, and opposition status in the world ensured on one hand that we were never going to be very big, but on the other that what nations we had were dedicated. Those who weren't serious were shown the door, as I famously expunged half our membership on the eve our optional entry into the Doomhouse-NPO War in defense of NPO. To this day I am still extremely proud that Justitia's Cult attracted the caliber of members that it did. I also owe them all a debt of gratitude, especially Don Chele. By the end of the Equilibrium War, Justitia's Cult had run its course, and for that matter so had I, so we shut the doors on the Justitian Mystery, which I assure you is quite serious and real, and archived in only two places on this planet. Since CoJ, I have been in Polaris. Given my early history, many have been puzzled and some hostile about it, but the answer is simple and has guided me since Vox: Honor truth, not men. I do not reduce allegiance to petty friendship, but align to ideals. Polaris today is not the Polaris that PZIed me and dozens of others, it is one of very few alliances that both took Justitia's Cult and its ideals seriously, and was not afraid to be seen with us. I have mostly kept to myself since joining Polaris aside from a few months as Deputy MoFA. I set pen to paper tonight with it in mind that I was going to write just a few sentences, and here we are. Well, you all always loved me for my essays, anyway. Frankly, the last time I made an anniversary thread it was criticized as too egotistical, so by comparison I have kept this simple. I'm hesitant to make a list for fear of leaving people out, but I do want to say that there are a lot of players past and present who've been good friends or allies, and I appreciate you all. ChairmanHal has always been a voice of reason and a good friend to bounce things off of; Don Chele and Biff Webster did a lot of heavy lifting in CoJ; however depraved we were, long hours in #goonrush were a lot of fun with some funny and mostly good people; Sigrun, Van Hoo III, Dajobo, BloodFury, Yawoo and Daggarz were invaluable allies; and the entire Vox crew (there were 200-300 of you and I'm sorry I don't know you when you query me nowadays). Our most recent year brought a few wars, some new allies, other allies moving onto new things, and a bevy of impressive results on our mercy boards. Marx, jerkdotwad, and DoNotFearJazz, our former Secretariat, Strategos, and member of the GOONS Council, respectively; into retirement in the case of Marx and jerk and into Umbrella in the case of DoNotFearJazz. Bear Retrieval Unit has been selected, and has already been serving, as our new Strategos. Aesculus has been appointed Pecuniator and has been producing impressive results with our Aid Slot Nationalization program. ComradeMilton was selected to replace Marx as Secretariat and the spot on the GOONS Council formerly occupied by DoNotFearJazz has not yet been filled. We are pleased to be approaching our first full year of being an alliance entirely free of ReyTheGreat. Our Mercy Board has produced some truly impressive feats this past year, including: Dionysus eating dogfood to get back into GOONS after an ill-fated excursion aimed at forming his own alliance. Aidan Groover followed this up by not only completing some vanilla Mercy Board terms, also went above and beyond and ate catfood for some reason. Declaration of Existence, Disbandment, and Rebranding Many moons ago, the alliances of UCN, FEAR and Wolfpack came together to form an MDAP bloc, Blood for Friends. BFF continued through much difficulty, including the disturbing disbandment of UCN and reform into Europa. NEW was added to the bloc, and a while later, FEAR, Wolfpack and Europa merged into the new alliance of BFF. Unfortunately, some things aren't meant to be. BFF exploded rather dramatically, and while some stayed on to try to keep her alive, it simply was done. Today we declare our intent to rebrand Blood for Friends as Los Pollos Hermanos, a sleeker, slicker, more laid-back version of our former home. Escaping the bad name of BFF is part of that process, and as such we have chosen our new image. At this time, our charter is forthcoming. We are currently operating under an interim triumvirate which as as follows: Triumvirate: Ernesto Che Guevara, Kongo Jack, Emperador Del Oeste (Chax, Deebo, Minister of Silly Walks) We are protecting the BFF AA until further notice. The Goon Order of Oppression, Negligence and Sadism is protecting Los Pollos Hermanos for a period which they will specify in this thread while we reevaluate our ties. We will not pretend this will be smooth or easy, but we cannot simply sit by and watch our community go the way of so many before. GOONS is not for everyone. Side effects include occasional bouts of sarcasm, loss of boredom, frequent swearing, and persistent erections lasting more than 4 hours (not guaranteed). If you have been diagnosed with taking yourself too seriously, sense of humor deficiency, or persistent screaming nerdrage, consult a doctor before joining GOONS. [b][size=4]Government[/size][/b] [size=4] [b]High Government[/b][/size] [size=4] [b] Pilot [/b][/size] The Pilot is the ultimate moral, spiritual, and temporal authority in GOONS. If he says jump, we say how high. If he says poop, we ask what color. He is ultimate commander of GOONS. Documents signed by the Pilot are considered to be the policy of GOONS unless countermanded by him directly. He may overrule any other member of the GOONS government. The Pilot has the ability to appoint any position below him if it becomes vacant (including aides), and remove anybody from government who is judged to not be acting in GOONS' best interests. [size=4][b]Co-Pilot [/b][/size] The Co-Pilot is to the Pilot what a Prime Minister is to a president. Unless you're Irish or Russian. The Co-Pilot is primarily tasked with ensuring the triad continue their operations. In the absence of the Pilot, he speaks with the voice of the Pilot, and is second signatory on all GOONS declarations and treaties. He can overrule any member of the government other than the Pilot. The Co-pilot can appoint assistants and government aides. [size=4] [b]The Triad[/b][/size] The Triad are the three government members charged with each of the three primary tenants of the alliance. Each has complete discretion as to how their departments are run. They have the authority to begin new programs, appoint mid-level and aide-level government positions. [size=4][b]Secretariat[/b][/size] The Secretariat acts as director of foreign affairs, specifically foreign relations and by ensuring that foreigners are masked and indoctrinated in a timely manner. The Secretariat cannot unilaterally sign treaties of any kind, however, he can write and propose them to the rest of the government. The Secretariat designs the overall diplomatic direction of the alliance with the consent of the Pilot and Co-Pilot. [size=4] [b]Strategos[/b][/size] The Strategos acts as director of internal affairs, specifically the military and military preparedness, aiding and tech-dealing, and nation building and maintenance. The Strategos may, at his discretion and with the agreement of the Pilot or Co-Pilot, appoint up to two government-level assistants. He may also appoint Company Commanders and remove them if they are in dereliction of their duty. [size=4][b]Pecuniator[/b][/size] The Pecuniator is tasked with ensuring the economic health of the alliance. He oversees the various programs that make up the alliances internal affairs. Primarily those relating to growth and aid distribution. [size=4][b]GOONS council[/b][/size] The council consists of four members. The four members who are for all intents and purposes general government. The council's primary job is to assist the other government with the operation of the alliance, paying special heed to the membership through the forums and IRC. Council members may engage in diplomacy but should not make contentious decisions unilaterally. The GOONS council can overrule a policy position of the pilot/co-pilot or triad with a 75% majority vote. The Triad/Pilot/CoPilot can overrule this position with a unanimous vote. [size=4][b]Members Emeritus[/b][/size] A government Member Emeritus is someone who has performed sterling service to GOONS in this or another game, and is such given an advisory position over the fate of GOONS. To be a Member Emeritus, you must have served in GOONS government. Emeritus status will be denied if you are terrible. This status is given by nomination from Pilot or Co-Pilot, upon completion of term. [size=4][b]Non-Positional Access[/b][/size] From time to time GOONS government may decide to allow people with no official job or position into the government area. These members are to give input about issues facing GOONS, but have no voting rights. Access may be revoked or granted at will by a consensus of government, or Pilot/Co-Pilot decision. [size=4][b]General Gov positions[/b][/size] General Gov positions can be created at any time by a member of the triad for any legitimate purpose. These positions oversee aide positions. These positions will have access to the general government forum. [size=4][b]Governmental Assistants [/b][/size] Governmental assistants have access to the governmental section. They are created for specific purposes by the Strategos and Secretariat. Assistants should have a formal title and answer to the person directly above them. Assistants can also be appointed by the Pilot and Co-Pilot. [size=4][b]Governmental Aides [/b][/size] Government aides are elected or appointed to help their higher and middle-gov counterparts. They have a special forum and are allowed to know more about situations as they develop. High War Adjudicator: Manages the Mercy Board Newbie Wrangler: Oversees masking and training Dongmaster: Manages finances and tech-dealing Nation Manager: Oversees trades/trade circles, guides, and auditing [size=4][b]Petition rights[/b][/size] There will always be a private subforum on the GOONS boards that only members of GOONS can see. Any member can post there and raise any issue they wish, and the Government commit to discussing any matter that the membership raise. Unless the person raising the matter is trolling or just being a jerk. If the government do not get back to the membership when a legitimate question is asked, the member asking the question has permission to kick one (1) government member in the jimmy. (or if the government member is female, in the jenny). [b][size=4]Governmental Appointments and Elections[/size][/b] The primary method of replacing governmental vacancies will be appointment. If a suitable appointee cannot be found an election will be held. Elections may also be held if the Pilot and Co-Pilot believe somebody is not fulfilling their duties to the fullest, but do not want to outright remove them. If a government member resigns with dignity (read: doesn't delete the forums, post gross images) they are allowed to appoint their successor, if they do not wish to appoint somebody, High Government will choose a successor, if High Government is unable to decide on a successor, the position will be elected. [b][size=4]Trade and aid.[/size][/b] GOONS members have a reasonable expectation that their government will assist them in finding a trade circle and in finding tech deals either as a buyer or a seller. While the government commits to making every effort in these situations, they will not and cannot guarantee any particular result. In situations where another GOONS member is in need, GOONS may be called upon to make reasonable donations of aid, military and otherwise, to worthy causes. [b][size=4]Foreign Relations.[/size][/b] [b][size=3]Tech Raiding[/size][/b] In times of peace, GOONS recognize the sovereignty and security of other alliances. An "alliance" is defined as a group of 15 or more nations. Smaller groups are recognized by the presence of diplomatic ties. Exceptions may be made both for smaller groups we wish to recognize and larger groups we do not, should the government so decide. Unaligned nations are not afforded the protection given to alliance members, and may be attacked at the discretion of individual GOONS members. Should a GOONS member find himself under considerable retaliation while attacking an unaligned nation, the GOONS member in question should not have any reasonable expectation of official backing from GOONS government. [b][size=3]Treaties[/size][/b] Treaties with other alliances, of non-aggression, optional defense, mutual defense, and other forms, may be drafted by the Secretariat, but should not be considered binding on the side of GOONS unless signed by the Pilot or, in his absence, the Co-Pilot. [b][size=3]Wartime[/size][/b] While GOONS will endeavor to maintain peaceful relations with all recognized alliances, they accept that there are times when diplomacy must be continued by other means. Should GOONS be called upon to make war upon another alliance, either by unilateral decision, or through treaty obligation, war will be declared following either a majority vote of the government, or decision of the Pilot. [b][size=4]Operational Security[/size][/b] Spying is absolutely forbidden in GOONS. Any nation found to be transmitting internal, secure GOONS-related information to any outside influence will be removed from GOONS immediately and placed on the EoG list. [b][size=4]Amendments[/size][/b] The charter can be amended at any time for any reason by the GOONS government. Such a change may only be done by the Pilot and a majority vote of the government.
