[Adventure Crimes Patch 1.01] This treaty patch is to update Global Alliance and Treaty Organization (GATO) and The Viridian Entente (VE) new gameplay to share based dream adventures and form a pact to go on Adventure Crimes together. Article I - Honor amongst Thieves Bugfix To repair backend PvP issues, both GATO and VE recognize one another as sovereign entities and agree to not engage in any criminal adventure which would harm either party. Both GATO and VE will agree to a parley in the event of a conflict of interest to resolve matters peacefully. Article II - Loot Sharing & New Data UI If either party discovers a potential mark, a hidden stash of Mario Coins, or intelligence regarding the actions of rival entities, both GATO and VE agree to share this information with one another via pog updates to our embassy.exe UI. We may also pool our respective Mario Coins and technological resources previously unavailable in patch 1.00. Article III - Stash Protection and Turf Defense In the event that GATO or VE are confronted by a rival gang who decide to open fire and attack, either party is reserves the option to defend their partners in crime, though there is no obligation to do so. This may involve returning fire against the aggressor(s) or providing Mario Coins that may be required to fund the defensive effort. (This is a buff) Article IV - Be Gay, Do Crime Inter-Guild UI updated so that certain crimes may involve assaulting rival territory directly together! Both parties reserve the right to tag along and start blasting the rival in question. Article V - Retirement There often comes a time for many joint criminal enterprises where both parties decide to part ways and no longer be partners in crime. In the event of either party deciding to retire from Adventure Crimes; both alliances agree to give each other 72 hours to fairly divide the loot and revert to patch 1.00. On the 3rd and the 5th of July, respectively, Sparta and the Christian Coalition of Countries declared war on the New Pacific Order. Following these declarations, the New Pacific Order requested that both the Mutual Defence article of the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization's treaty, and the Optional Defence article of Argent's treaty, be activated. Therefore, pursuant to Article III of the New Unity Covenant between the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization and the New Pacific Order, the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization declares war on both Sparta and the Christian Coalition of Countries, in defence of the New Pacific Order. Further, pursuant to Article II of the Project Purity Control treaty between Argent and the New Pacific Order, Argent declares war on both Sparta and the Christian Coalition of Countries, in defence of the New Pacific Order. *Brown Unity & Trade Treaty* -- B.U.T.T. Preamble: The major alliances of Brown have decided to come together and embrace what it means to be united in our spherical aims. Article I: B.U.T.T. Stuff Membership to B.U.T.T. requires an alliance to have the Brown Team as one of its official colors and the approval of all existing signatories. Signatories to B.U.T.T. will be given access to the Unity Hub and are bound by this and all other articles of the accord. Article II: Butt to the Chase B.U.T.T. will apportion the senate seats upon review by the signatoriesā foreign affairs representatives every six months. The initial B.U.T.T. sponsored senators are one from COBRA, two from GATO, one from Kashmir and one from UCR. These will be reapportioned based on the consensus of the signatories. B.U.T.T. signatories will be expected to send out the full sponsored list of senators to their respective AAs, with preference directed to the current lowest vote earner. Article III: Uranus Retrograde B.U.T.T. recognizes trade manipulations and sanctions against each other as acts of war. B.U.T.T. will not harm other signatories nations with trade cancellations or sanctions, even in the event of war between signatories. B.U.T.T. member alliances will coordinate with one another in economic aims, especially in the organization of trade circles and facilitation of aid deals. Article IV: Cheeky, but Charminā B.U.T.T. alliances are expected to adhere to a standard of conduct befitting the Brown Sphere. The signatories are expected to treat one another with respect and concerns should be brought to the official Unity Hub for evaluation among the signatories. In the event of possible conflict between signatories, B.U.T.T. alliances are to make serious effort in preventing war through diplomatic means. Article V: Gluteus Maximus Any B.U.T.T. alliance may request economic, military or other forms of aid from the other signatories. They are encouraged to provide their assistance. Article VI: Booty Rules B.U.T.T. alliances pledge not to raid nations residing on the Brown Team. Should unapproved raiding on a Brown Team Nation occur, they will be offered reparations to cover damages. Article VII: The Tail End Any signatory may withdraw from B.U.T.T, but they are expected to give at least 72 hours of notice, during which the terms of the treaty are to remain in full force. While most of the world spends their time reminiscing over our nostalgic and better pasts, the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization does the exact same thing, but better. In the last year, a lot (and not a lot) has happened with regard to GATO, especially since today is our big day, our 15th birthday! We can (almost) drive! What has happened in the last year? Well, during the Snake Eyes War, we had 61 members. Today we also have 65 members -- at least when I wrote this. GATO has remained relatively stable while a lot of the world has floundered around and lost their members to the attrition of the heat death of Planet Bob. In an effort to continue our sustained poaching growth and as the current Assembly Chairperson, I have the honor of bestowing (honorary) memberships to foreigners that tower over the desolate wastes of our world: First and foremost, I would like to honor happy5214 of The Legion. The Legion themselves have always been a strong and consistent ally to GATO, both in earlier parts of our history and again more recently. The Legion absolutely crushed it on the battlefield of The Snake Eyes War, and have maintained a strong economic and political presence in RFI. Recently, GATO lost the majority of our guides to a combination of poor management decisions in 2018 and the gradual degradation of our forums due to updates. Weāve been working hard to relearn a lot of aspects of the economics of the world (and even learn new ways). In our efforts, weāve been assisted by the Lord of Hugs, but happy5214 takes the cake as the most frequent asset in our work on this project. His contributions have included even sharing his nationās private data to be harvested by the abacus wielders of GATO. This contribution, along with his sharing of technology that he developed for The Legion, have gone well past the point of expectation that could be placed on that of an ally. As such, his personal commitment to the Global Alliance deserves recognition, and I am proud to present him the title of Honorary GATO Member, to join the ranks of those outside the alliance that we choose to highlight above all others. The second award of honorary membership is pledged to be given to Lowsten, or James Spanier as he prefers to be called. James has been a huge help with manners of counsel that step outside of the purview of an ally. On a personal level, he and I have tag teamed, argued with, embarrassed and personally attacked each other on a host of problems that have arisen over the short years of Skyrim: Cybernations Edition. When asked for nominations from my own government with regard to who should earn honorary membership, Mr. Spanier stacked up several nominations. When pressed for justifications, no one could find the words. James is an intangible, an invisible hand on the scale that presses GATO toward being the best alliance that it can be ā and heās subtle about it. Even lacking specifics to pontificate on, it is easy enough for me to judge that Lowsten has rightfully earned GATO honorary membership. We thank him for his contributions to our alliance, a watchful eye that shepherds over my own alliance mates as if they were his. For that, may we not only call him an ally of GATO, but a friend as well. The Global Alliance and Treaty Organization has seen its fair share of failures and triumphs over the years, but it has managed to persist and remain a constant presence in the international community. Many rulers across Planet Bob once found their home in GATO, and this post is also for you. Thank you for contributing to the legacy of the alliance I hold so dear to my heart. I spit on their fake queen as well. ..... GATO turns 12 today and like an alcholic refusing to leave the bar... our determination has kept us going. Through the years I have been honored to serve alongside the brilliant minds within our General Assembly and together we have all built a culture and institution worth sustaining. Many names have come and gone, wars won and lost. This is the annual reminder that regardless of the scars of time and whatever lies ahead... we will still be sitting here at the bar waiting for our next drink. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said through the previous years. Our alliance has experinced hardships and trials that have made lesser alliances fold. We've seen some !@#$ and know there is always more !@#$ to come. In this cynically depressive world where we wait for things to die, GATO still looks fondly toward the future and hopeful that new history will be written by the scratches of our claws. The recent outbreak of conflict between III Percent and [insert name of one-man AA here] has laid bare a longstanding problem within our community, a story of misused rights and wantonly exercised power that has spanned the existence of Bob itself, damaging the very firmaments of the world and leaving many unwilling or unable to assert their agency over the events of this plane. Too often have we seen individuals take to the OWF and mercilessly abuse that which cannot fight back; today, we announce our refusal to stand silently and watch this maltreatment continue. This is an injustice up with which we shall not put. They Wont Take Are Freedom's An Optional Protectorate Agreement Between Sengoku and The English Language Clause I: Sengoku agrees to do its utmost to protect the English language from those that seek to do it harm. In return, the English language will overlook any mishaps that arise when hartfw has been drinking, or his keyboard is broken for the third !@#$@#$ time this week. Clause II: Sengoku has the option, but not the responsibility, to defend the English language by any means necessary. This may take the form of relentless spell-checking, links to grade school resources, or even military action if necessitated. The English language is not required to likewise defend Sengoku, though it may if desired provide the occasional snappy comeback. Clause III: This treaty is eternal; it cannot be cancelled, though it can and almost assuredly will be forgotten by Tuesday. First there was an idea... For a couple of years now, Terran Empire has sought to have a treaty with GATO. Communication has been off and on for a long time, but things really picked shortly after the end of the Equilibrium War. It took a while for the timing to be right for both of our alliances, but the day has finally arrived, and I am very proud to finally be able to call GATO our allies, and to announce this treaty. And now without any further delay, I present to you, a GATO-Terran Empire Production of... Cats With Sharp Things Accords Preamble: This document serves to show that the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization (GATO) and the Terran Empire (TTE) share common principles and have grown closer together. Each member of each alliance vows to show general good will and appreciation towards the other. Through similar ideals and fruitful relations, both alliances strive for mutual betterment, together Article I - Peace: No member nation of either alliance will commit any aggressive actions against any members of the other signatory, nor will they aid a known enemy thereof. Article II - Intelligence: Both signatories agree to never withhold information which could be harmful to the other alliance. Any privileged information from this relationship may not be shared without the express consent of both parties. Article III - Aid: Both signatories retain the option to provide the other with monetary or military aid, when requested. Article IV - Optional Defense: If either signatory comes under attack by another alliance, the other party may come to their aid, but is not required to do so. Article V - Optional Aggression: If either party enters into a war for any reason, and the other party feels the cause is just, then they may chose to join them in that campaign. Article VI - Cooperation: Both alliances agree to facilitate communication and extend good will towards the other for situations outlined in this treaty and otherwise. It is the belief of both signatories that the expectations outlined here are a framework and not the end all definition of our relationship. Article VII - Cancellation: This treaty is subject to cancellation for any reason. Notice is required to be given promptly via private channels. An Official Announcement from the Everfree Union It is with some melancholy that I must announce that after 433 days of existence, it has become necessary for the Everfree Union to call it quits. We gave it a fine effort, but people's lives change, and sometimes it is no longer feasible to continue with the business of running an alliance and seeing to one another's mutual protection and benefit. In such a case, it is far better to disband than to continue existing as an empty, inactive mockery of what once was. Effective immediately, the Everfree Union will merge with our protectors, the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization. GATO has been amazing to us, and I can think of no more appropriate way to end our run as an alliance than lending the strength of EvU to their cause. I'd also like to thank the Alternian Empire for their steadfast commitment as our treaty partners, as well as anyone else who was involved with our fun little community in some way, even if it was just popping in to #Everfree occasionally or providing us with worthy opponents during wartime. Most of all, I'd like to thank all of our members, both past and current, who contributed their time to make this such an interesting and fun ride. EvU was founded to be an alliance based on a friendly and awesome community, and although the alliance is going away, that community isn't going anywhere. About six months ago GATOans and North Stars came together to fix the ever persistent problem of trades within our shared sphere.The first Operation: Save the Whales was a blazing success with the completion and fixing of over twenty trade circles in a mere four day period. This operation was to be a show of commitment to the brown sphere that both alliances share; a commitment that still exists and will persist until the dying day of the cyberverse. Today, we are here to announce the second iteration of Operation: Save the Whales. This time with three times the ambition, twice the staff, double the time period, and all the necessary tools. We also cordially ask any and all alliances interested in fixing their trade situation to consider taking part in this program and where we will take the burden of sorting through the trade mess for you.
