First off, let me explain what the ESEO is, and what it is not. ESEO is a non-political, voluntary economic sphere that seeks to organize reliable technology sellers, buyers and resource traders. We also look to increase the availability of reliable trade partners for tech deals, instead of relying on alliance resources. This is a significant advantage to smaller alliances that lack the extended membership pools or protectorates that can help their lower tiers find buyers to help them grow. It also provides advanced members with reliable sellers, capable of fueling extended growth over a long period of time in an atmosphere outside political intrigue or war. Some of you guys might be seriously questioning the need for a non-alliance based tech market. The reason is throughout my time in CN thus far, most of the tech deals I have done have been with members of neutral and non-neutral alliances outside my own. I think this is in part due to a lack of reliable sellers and buyers who are in communication with each other. Some alliances are older and larger, but lack consistently active sellers and possess only buyers. Some alliances are smaller, and lack real buyers capable of long term deals, and giving the sellers the ability to grow. The ESEO is hoping to remedy this by bringing both buyers and sellers together in a non political way. The ESEO is a non-political group, and as such any and all of it's members are welcome to do business with each other regardless of alliance affiliation or treatied status. The requirement of neutrality will be the advancement of an agenda that lacks any concrete, suspicious, veiled or oblique semblance to political discourse on any official level and in the name of ESEO by any one member. We are neutral, and as such, we do not care what happens outside these halls as it pertains to ESEO and it's members. Joining the ESEO is voluntary, and non-binding. You have no duties other than to follow through on whatever technology deals that you've accepted. You have the right to seek any and all deals or trades that you want, regardless of whom it involves. You have the right to seek recourse in a Tribunal if a seller, or Buyer fails to follow through after a reasonable amount of time (determined by all parties involved, including tribunal). You have the right to run your nation, participate in your alliance outside of ESEO and prosecute whatever directives you are obligated to therein. You are not required to do anything on behalf of ESEO, by anyone at anytime: ESEO is a non-binding, and voluntary technology and resource exchange. Not an alliance. The structure of ESEO is very minimalist in nature, and generally conforms to a need only basis. At all times, the ESEO will be comprised primarily of it's members. Every member is a part of the Orgnization Council, which will decide 'Accepted Rates' for technology deals ($6 Million per 100 Tech, etc) and practices for organizing trade circles. These rates are NOT mandatory, however participation using these rates are strongly encouraged as it will provide you with a larger pool of prospective buyers and sellers. The ESEO will be headed by, and be spoken for by the Commissioner, an elected (by recall only) position that serves for life or until recalled and replaced. The Commissioner has no real duties other than to facilitate the needs of the ESEO and ensure the smooth functioning of both it, and the Tribunals when and wherever necessary. He can, but is not required to appoint a Vice Commissioner to help in the event of an absence. Joining the ESEO is simply done by registering as a member on the forums, and participating. The ESEO is a loosely organized group, whose only obligations are to initiate and fulfill economic, and technology agreements. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to contact the Commissioner, or another member. If you'd like to join, simply register on these forums, and participate at your leisure. Kind Regards, Xavier Harkonnen ESEO Commissioner Economic Security and Exchange Organization Forums

What is the political atmosphere like here? Who controls the power? (Equally split or the top 90% type thing) What different types of alliances are there? What Ideologies do they follow?

Do NOT waste your time with this alliance. It isn't socialist, or leftist. If you're looking for a Good Ol' Boy's Club, then you might like it. Otherwise, move along. Nothing to see here.

Comrades, to arms for Anarchy! The Libertarian Socialist Federation is the longest surviving revolutionary left-wing alliance in Cybernations, formed after the split in the ICSN on May Day of 2006 with the intention of creating an alliance which honors the individual autonomy of its members within a collective framework for us to prosper in. Our principles are based on the revolutionary ideas of Libertarian Socialism, encompassing a broad range of socialist traditions from Anarchism to the libertarian tendencies of Marxism. Our membership however is not restricted only to those who hold these politics, those who are willing to respect the traditions, practices and culture of our Federation are welcome to join. No gods, No masters! Unlike most other alliances in the game, we are a direct democracy. Every member of the alliance has as much of a say and sway as any other, all members can make proposals, be included in discussions and have collective strength through their vote. We have one sovereign body that holds any authority in the Federation; The Delegates Council (DC), this organ is comprised of every single member of the alliance. For the alliance to perform its functions more effectively we have a system of Co-ordinators. These Co-ordinators have no individual authority and are only responsible for ensuring the tasks they have been elected to fulfill are seen to. We have Co-ordinator positions for Economics, Alliance Security, Foreign Affairs and War. Where the alliance deems these positions unnecessary for the meantime, they do not have to be filled and instead the tasks are taken up by any volunteer(s) from the alliance. Furthermore, we also have an admin team responsible for maintaining the alliance boards and a Public Announcer who is responsible for announcing to the rest of the Cybernations community our public declarations. All of these positions are chosen by a single majority vote. We stress the importance of self-responsibility as there is no punishment for your actions, we value our freedom here, unless an individual member commits an act which puts the rest of the membership at risk of loss (ie. going rogue, providing internal information to enemies). Therefore we expect members to be aware of their actions and how it affects their comrades, this whole process is one of self-education and self-responsibility. The benefits we can offer you. Apart from the individual autonomy mentioned above, the LSF has a strong and lasting community. Many of our members have been members for a number of years and upon joining the LSF you become part of our rich heritage. We are famed for being stubborn fighters, having been engaged in one of the longest wars in Cybernations history against the odds to come out of it still kicking. We have a rich history of fighting the forces of reaction and are known for being honorable and true to our word to our treaty partners. Furthermore, our collective spirit entails that you won't join the alliance and be left to hang in the dark. As well as advice, our membership offers lucrative tech deals, help with trade circles and financial aid to one another to help your nation grow or recover from disaster. Additionally, every member is also entitled to help in our Foreign Affairs department and act as a diplomat for our alliance to other alliances. We have a strong bond with all of our military treaty partners and good friendships with other alliances. We are a committed Pink team alliance although members have the freedom to choose another color sphere to be on. As a result, we operate closely with other Pink team alliances to ensure our color sphere remains an organised economic hub as well as being a haven for peace and independence. How to Join Us. 1. Visit our alliance forums: http://z15.invisionfree.com/lsf 2. Register a user account on there. 3. Start up a topic following the sign up instructions in the LSF sign-up section of the Introductions sub-forum. Hello my fellow nations, have you ever wanted to make an alliance? Have you ever wanted to run your ideas and own an alliance? But you could not. It is almost impossible to get new alliances to grow due to the monopoly on recruiting bigger alliances have. I mean how can you get people to join you when other alliances have the resources to offer millions in aid! Its just not fair that bigger alliances can offer so much, it destroys almost all chances to make your own alliance rise to power. So i have taken it on my self (and a few other revolutionaries) to revolt against this unfair treatment of small alliances and nation. Big alliances have wrecked countless small nations and alliances by starting world wars. How much longer must smaller alliances suffer from the greed and endless wars caused by bigger alliances! Its time the small alliances of the world joined forces to take down the bigger, more corrupt alliances of the world. We start with RnR, they have been able to out pay countless nations by offering 12 million to new members. So join me! join this great uprising! Help in anyway possible, go to war with RnR, send aid to fighting revolutionaries, or even join a revolting alliance! Stand up for what is right! Take down this corruption, so them what small alliances can do! THE TIME HAS COME TO CUT THE FAT ONES DOWN TO SIZE! For more info on this revolt visit our forms here: http://www.reddit.com/r/TheLCNR/ Update: As of Friday the 14th, we have sent 9 nations into anarchy, see, RnR can be stopped! (My allince is LCNR) To Apropos: My knowledge came partly from an irl friend who has been playing this game for a long time who wanted to start his own alliance but told me how unfair recruitment was. This got me interested in this game. I spent a few weeks reading the wiki and looking over wars, treaties and getting an idea of the political view of this game. Then a week later i got the game myself with a revolution in-mind. As for RnR i have nothing personal against them, its just that when we (LCNR) voted for who to attack first we went for RnR due to there large aid bounces. Also to make this clear i am not asking people to join my alliance (but you are welcome to). I am just trying to rally the people together.
