In the beginning, there was a simple idea... to take the best ideas of everything we had learned, both the good and the mistakes, from every alliance we had been in and every alliance we learned about... to take that information and use it to create the best alliance that we could. And to make that alliance flexible enough to adapt to changes, both internal and external... and most importantly, to create a home. We didn't just want to make an alliance for only protection, or trading, but also an atmosphere where everyone was valued, and everyone was important. Not equal, but important and valued. We accepted nearly everyone, and we did everything we could to properly educate and assist everyone who joined. As we grew, we expanded our efforts to make the world better. We created Arizona. Not to extend our influence, but to be better able to help those that needed help, and to counter the things that made the world less enjoyable. Sadly, Arizona did not achieve the potential it should have. People had a hard time understanding its intent... still, I was proud to see what it did accomplish. But to all things, there inevitably comes an end. For months now, Arizona has served as nothing more than a footnote manned only by Terran Empire and GPF, and providing protection to NEAT and our protectorates. We held it in place with the hope that once things got better in other areas that we could once again correct Arizona and get it up and running again. That day will never come. With the understanding from GPF, I hereby formally announce the immediate dissolution of the Arizona Treaty Bloc. I would like to thank all of the alliances that participated in any stage of its development, those that served as members, those that considered membership, and those that cooperated with Arizona. Arizona had a run that lasted longer than expected, and in its time did make a difference in our corner of the world. Terran Empire was intended as our final alliance when we created it. Over time, Terran Empire became more than just a retirement home for its founders. But as it grew, so did the expectations and obligations. In our efforts to help as many people as possible, we took on more and more responsibility. There are many who never understood who we were, and what we were about. We never sought power or influence as goals, but as tools to better assist those in need. We did make some mistakes along the way, but over all, we stood by our beliefs regardless of the potential consequences. We stood up to defend TDO in their hour of need, and while the months of war this placed on us did give us the boost in reputation we needed to make the big political moves that would push us to the next stage in developing our alliance... the damages were significant. Pixels can be replaced, but burnout is much harder to repair, especially when compounded by global mass inactivity. Still, this was not what brought us to this day. Terran Empire had grown too dependent on its leadership, and that, which in many ways served as a source of strength, was the weakness that we were unable to overcome. Truth is that situations from beyond this world from many of our gov members, set the stage, and when I personally had significant issues from beyond this world of my own, the vacuum at the top was more than we could overcome. When it became clear that these outer issues would not be soon overcome, and that I would no longer be able to run the alliance to the level that I feel is necessary to serve my members and allies, I made the hard decision to do what we always felt we would never do. I chose to close the doors of Terran Empire. In efforts to take care of as many of our obligations as possible, I have negotiated the merger of Terran Empire into Nordreich. Our protection of ROMA and SCAR will also be transferred to Nordreich, and the Terran Empire AA will be protected by Nordreich for as long as people remain on it. There are a lot of people I would personally like to thank for their contributions to Terran Empire. I owe a lot to some of those that are gone from this world like New Reverie, Van Hoo III, and Bad Omen, for influencing me greatly in how to properly run an alliance and treat those who recognise you as their leader. Without them, I would not have been able to create an alliance, or rule it effectively. And a footnote thank you to those who showed me how to ruin an alliance and prove to me that I could do better. Next, I would like to thank Londo and jgoods and the rest of Athens, without whom, Terran Empire would have never gotten off the ground. I owe an immense amount of gratitude to Sarmatian and all of Legacy for saving us from the premature abyss we were facing and launching our extremely successful second age. I have never understood the rift that grew between us, but I have always been grateful for what was done for us. I'd like to thank Grey Council, the Rosular Kingdom, TDO, and Cult of Justitia for the relationships we developed years ago. Thank you to NEAT, ROMA, and Sandwich Confederacy for everything we did for each other. A huge thank you to everyone at CCC. You spent so much time as a part of our lives and our development. LPS, Sherg, Wes, Llanowar... really, just a big thank you to everyone at CCC. I'd like to thank UCR, Invicta, NPO, and Legion. Things were a rollercoaster ride at times, but there were some noteworthy positives. I'd like to thank Sparta and Fark, for doing what you could for us when we needed it most. Thanks to TIO, NATO, LoSS, and SUN. You have each been good friends. Thank you to Randalla and Apparatus, and Cerridwyn. You have been good friends. Thanks to each of our many protectorates who put their faith in us: FTC, FCC, BWB, UA, ICON, ROMA, and SCAR. Thank you to GOONS...you know what for. And a very big thank you to our very good friends at GPF, KoRT, Nordreich, GATO, and NG. So many individuals to thank that I will not attempt to do so... but a thank you to Rampage3, Devo, Sojourner, Tidybowl, Scorponok, Stagger Lee, Dre4m, Rogal Dorn, Omni, Roq, Wally, Walsh, Brucemna, ConRed, White Chocolate, Schatt, MIKE 1587, Franz, Berbers, Mogar, Nascar, KCahill, Fen, Cheezy, Kurd, Samwise, ...and so many, many others... And more than anyone, all of Terran Empire owes a huge thank you to our former Chancellor of Defense, CheezDood. You were the best gov member we ever had, and we could not have made it through our wars without you. Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who was ever a member of Terran Empire. Without you, nothing would have been possible. It was each of you who made this a home, and made everything we did worthwhile. It was said in our first year that we would never amount to anything, but we did so much more than anyone thought possible in the current age. Without ever having a merger, we reached a peak of 132 members, a ranking as high as #26, over 3 million NS, a Senate seat we held for years, a bloc, success in wars, and many good friends and allies. This far exceeded our own expectations and made us proud of our accomplishments. On behalf of the remaining founders of Terran Empire, and everyone in our gov, we thank all of Planet Bob for our time in it... and we close this door, not overwhelmed with sadness, but with countless memories and pride for everything that we achieved. It was an honor to lead Terran Empire, and now I turn the page to add our assets to Nordreich.

The Great Leap Forward Falls Short of Its Goals The Union of Communist Republics and Terran Empire have walked the long march together for several years, We have had peaks of great cooperation during our time together... but there have been many changes between us that have made it clear that we found ourselves on differing paths forward. Acknowledging that our FA paths are heading in non-parallel directions, we have mutually agreed to activate Article VIII of the Communists on Terra Accords. We spoke in private, the 72 hours have passed, and now the pact is dissolved. I would like to personally thank UCR for the years we had together. There was a time when UCR was our closest ally, and I thank them for their participation as a founding member of Arizona. I would like to thank the membership of UCR, especially KI and RA2 for friendship over the years, and for this respectful parting of ways. There are some outsiders who could easily point fingers at what they think are the reasons for this break, but the whole picture behind their observations was never made public, and thus such theories are incorrect. Numerous changes in leadership led to breaks in communication. FA actions created conflicts in interests, which interfered with cooperation. We slowly become incompatible. There is nothing to blame here. We each followed FA we felt was in the best interests of our own alliance...but sadly, these decisions have led us to the point we are at now. We had our ups, we had our downs... but now we are at the end of our treaty. Farewell my comrades, I wish you all the very best as we move forward separately.

Happy Birthday Terran Empire!! It was a harsh year for us, but we made it through to another anniversary. So here's to everyone we have met along the way. Here's to the neutrals, to the raiders, to the shrooms, to the rogues, to the pirates, the ghosts, the jerks, the haters, and the traitors... Here's to everyone who acknowledged our existence by professing on these forums that we wouldn't make it. Well, we continue to exist, and we now celebrate 4 years of existence. And for that we must thank each and every one of you for making it possible. We'd like to thank every one of our allies, past, present, and future... you know who you are. So as we begin the journey toward our 5th anniversary, we look forward to countless more haters proving for us that we continue to be more than you ever thought possible. Glory to the Empire, Glory to us all!

It is with great disappointment that Terran Empire must bring an end to our treaty with the Christian Coalition of Countries. After thorough discussions, it was determined that it is time for our alliances to part ways. All reasons for such a decision have been expressed in private in accordance to requirements spelled out in the document. We have many things to be thankful for in our 3 years of ties with CCC. We thank them for their part in the founding of Arizona. We thank them for their assistance in our war defending TDO. And we thank them for innumerable occasions of friendship and fellowship. I would specifically like to extend personal thanks to Richard VII, Wes the Wise, Shergzus, LPS, Jesus Freak, Allyson, and so many others, I do believe CCC is full of many truly good people, and I wish them all the best moving forward. But alas, our time together has run its course, and The Never Cross a Terran Accords must now come to a close. This announcement is being made early in light of current events so that actions by either alliance do not cause an issue to the other. There remains about 24 hours in our treaty, and as such we do retain the right to activate if the situation warrants. Fare thee well old friends...

This treaty went into effect on September 18, 2013. A public announcement was delayed due to other events that also occurred on that date. I am proud to finally be able to make this agreement official, and we continue to be impressed by the professionalism and integrity of the Knights of the Round Table. Knights of Terra Accords Preamble: This document serves to show that The Terran Empire (TTE) and the Knights of the Round Table (KoRT) share common principles of ideology and ethics. Each member of each alliance vows to show general good will, and appreciation for the other. Through similar ideals and fruitful relations, both alliances strive for mutual betterment together. Article I - Peace: Both alliances mutually assure that neither signatory will defame, physically attack, spy on the other, or provide aid to a known enemy. Article II - Intelligence: Both alliances agree that upon possession of useful information to the other signatory, said alliance will give the information to the other. This will be done in a timely fashion. Article III - Aid: Both alliances know that in times of need, aid may be called upon from the other signatory. While it is not mandatory to aid, it is encouraged and can only prove to further relations between the two alliances. Aid can be given as Military aid or Monetary support. Article IV - Optional Defense: If either signatory comes into defensive conflict with another alliance, the other party may come to their aid, but is not required to do so. Article V - Extended Coverage: Either alliance may choose to act in defense of the other's protectorate as they are considered to be an extension of an alliance's zone of responsibility. Article VI - Cooperation: Both alliances are encouraged to assist each other in monitoring for, and dealing with, rogue attacks against the other. While not required, it is understood that through cooperation, raids may be better stopped and reduced in effectiveness. Conclusion and Cancellation: This treaty serves to show each signatory shares similar values and strives together to uphold them. This treaty is subject to cancellation if either signatory is no longer happy with the other for any reason. Termination of this pact requires 72 hours notice. This notice is required to be given firstly via private channels. Any intentional or planned violations of the articles within this treaty result in the treaty being considered immediately void, unless otherwise agreed upon by the leadership of both signatories. The Terran Doctrine The Terran Empire reserves the right to defend any alliance by means and method of our own choosing, with or without their request for assistance, for as long as we ourselves deem necessary. These are troubled times on Planet Bob. Many have lost sight of what is right and what is wrong. Once there was a time when a valid CB was necessary to enter into a valid war, and that waging war without one was wrong and would risk response by other alliances who were opposed to such acts. But that has faded away... along with many other things that used to be clear as right and wrong. I know that it is wrong to wage war without reason. It is wrong to prey on the weak. What great strength it must show to attack those that seek peace, and with such overwhelming numbers from behind a disbanded AA with the threat of protection from even bigger alliances if you face retaliation. While others wait to see what will happen, and make excuses why they will not step up to defend those in need, even against the claimed remnants of an AA they admittedly didn't like. I cannot stand by and do nothing. I am a former TDO Senator, and once a Senator, forever a Senator. I know full well what we step willingly into. True, it likely won't end well at all... but it is the right thing to do. For all the talk of cowardice about Terran Empire by those that know nothing of us, and know nothing of the circumstances that kept us out of wars that we were indeed more than willing to enter... that talk has never been true. It is not too late to take a stand. Some things are wrong, and must be opposed, and some things are very right, and should be done even if alone in that action. Effective immediately, Terran Empire chooses to defend TDO against the illegal actions of Mushqaeda.
