Ladies and Gentlemen! You've read about it in the papers! Now witness, before your very eyes, that most rare and tragic of nature's mistakes! I give you: the average man. Physically unremarkable, it instead possesses a deformed set of values. Notice the hideously bloated sense of humanity's importance. Also note the club-footed social conscience and the withered optimism. It's certainly not for the squeamish, is it? Most repulsive of all, are its frail and useless notions of order and sanity. Two months ago we saw UnknownSmurf's attempts to stir the pot between NSO and MK/DH go south when he decided to paint himself as a spy within the Sith Order in the discussion thread known as 'Delusion'. We sought Kaskus after he donned their affiliation to sort the situation out and explained it as such: For reasons of their own, Kaskus was steadfast to defend their friend despite these actions. Discussions got a little rough, patience on both sides a little thin. In the end, after being ignored and seemingly brushed off, we chose to take Smurf for ourselves knowing the reaction Kaskus would have. Operation 'Blueberry Extraction' was a success. For two months now, the Sith Order and Kaskus have been locked in an arduous war full of much loss for both sides. Some unfortunate incidences along the way saw the war expand to our friends in the Pacific Order and Shangri-La, and then eventually into Kaskus's protectorate The Shadow Legacy. The tenacity of the Kaskus nations fueled their efforts long and hard in an uphill battle, but the odds proved too great in the end. Between each empires stood friendship and understanding, with a vow to continue moving forward together to a bright future. [size=5][b]Achieving Zen Through Peace[/b][/size] Knowing what is required, both empires acknowledge each other as equals and sovereign states, agreeing to forsake aggression towards one another. Pledging to use calm discourse to settle any disputes that may arise between the two. [size=5][b]Sharing Knowledge from the Inner World[/b][/size] Both states pledge to share any information gained through a state of mind that is relevant to the well being and security of its counterpart. [size=5][b]Two States, One Direction[/b][/size] With the danger of disorder and unrest plaguing either empire to the point that it must request financial assistance from its counterpart, it is highly encouraged but not necessary to fulfill the financial request. [size=5][b]Perils of the World[/b][/size] The reality of the world outside of the Hidden Valley is one of great perils alongside great wonders. Thus, in the event that either signatory is under attack by a third party or creating military attack plans against a third party, its counterpart is encouraged to provide military, intelligence or monetary assistance. The two states acknowledge that it is optional and solely at the discretion of the secondary party. In the case that the empire under attack requests no intervention or help be provided, its equal signatory must comply. We will be watching the Presidential Debate and consuming various beverages whenever a given politician (or moderator) says various words or phrases. To maintain the family friendliness element of this, those who choose to not partake in the consumption of alcohol beverages (or are underage) have the option of consuming something other than beer or whatever hard alcohol you people want to drink. So far, we have the following buzzwords/phrases, but are open to adding some more if you all come up with something clever (keep in mind the focus of this debate is supposed to be on foreign policy). -Libya: 1 drink -Benghazi: 1Drink -Arab Spring: 3 drinks -Islamic Brotherhood: 3 drinks -Egypt: 2 drinks -Intel(ligence) - 1 drink. -Al Qaeda - 2 drinks -Every time a candidate interrupts the other - 1 drink -Every time Mitt makes a seemingly misogynist comment - Finish your beer -Every time either of them dodge a question - 1 drink -Every time the moderator is interrupted - 1 shot. -Osama Bin Laden - 3 drinks -Every time Obama denies something (or passes off the blame) - 1 drink -Afghanistan - 1 Drink -Iraq- 1 Drink As far as the where and whens go, #shangri-la at 9 PM to 10:30 PM Eastern Time tonight.
