  1. IMPORTANT NEWS & ACTIONS FROM MOSCOW NAME: Imperial Muscovy, formally Republic of the Imperial Muscovite Districts and Affiliates (English) Республика округах Империал московских и аффилированных (Russian) NATION INFORMATION: Imperial Muscovy is a growing, developing, and old nation at 206 days old with citizens primarily of Russian ethnicity whose religion is Judaism. It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Imperial Muscovy work diligently to produce Furs and Coal as tradable resources for their nation. It is a very passive country when it comes to foreign affairs and has no interests in war. It believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. Plans are on the way within Imperial Muscovy to open new rehabilitation centers across the nation and educate its citizens of the dangers of drug use. Imperial Muscovy allows its citizens to openly protest their government, even if it means violence. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Imperial Muscovy believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Imperial Muscovy will trade with other nations with questionable ethical treatment of their citizens but prefers to keep such trade agreements a secret. RULER: Peter Ilyich ALLIANCE: Unaligned CAPITAL: Moscow GOVERNMENT: Federal Government RELIGION: Judaism de facto Mixed CURRENCY: Euro TEAM: Blue Team
  2. Sa'dabad Palace, Tehran General Reza Pahlavi looked around the carnage that surrounded him. To his left, there lay the bodies of several guardsmen, each shot in the head. To his right was the body of one of his own men, a sergeant who had chosen to take part in this bloody little coup. And in front of him lay the Shah, or, to be more eprecise, the former Shah. One of the General's Lieutenants stepped into the room. "General," he said, "The Palace is fully under our control. Our men are hunting down the last of the Palace Guard in the city." "Good," responded the General. "Sir, we hold the city for now, but there have been reports of some disturbances. The Savak has already broken up one potential riot, and there are looters in the suburbs. With all due respect, General, we need to address the people now, or risk loosing everything to the anarchy that is descending on the country." The General nodded, slowly. "Get everything ready for a public statement. We will also need to inform the international communtiy of our, change in government." "So then you do plan to declare yourself Shah?" asked the Lieutenant. "No. The age of Shahs is dead, and I have killed it." And with that, the Empire of Persia fell, and the bloody baptism of the Republic began. Public "The Republic of Persia hereby announces its existance to the world and claims sovereignty to the lands of Iran(except Kurdistan), the territories of what was once called the United Arab Emirates and the Musandam governate(hereby referred to as the Ormuz Province), and the waters of the Straits of Hormuz." - General Reza Pahlavi
  3. Tsarina Forms Assembly, to Write Constitution Petrograd - Following years of reconstruction Tsarina Natalia has formed an assembly with the objective of writing a constitution which is to set the basis for a new Duma established by democratic elections. Additionally the Assembly has been tasked with establishing fundamental rights every Russian has regardless of race, gender or religion. The Assembly is composed of representatives from all factions within the Tsardom. While opening up the governing of the country to greater democratic control the Tsarina has made it clear that ultimate power within the Tsardom will remain with her however the new State Duma is to be able to directly check the use of it and serve in an advisory role. The move is expected to ease many of the lingering issues left in the wake of the Civil War and to prevent any future revolution from rising and destroying Russia.
  4. First Steps Almost immediately after the announcement of the creation of the nation was made, the constitutional convention has already begun to take place in the House Chamber of the Capitol building. Behind closed doors, the delegations from each state will debate and decide upon the future of the nation that had just been born into the world. Each delegation is composed of between 5-10 members chosen by joint approval of the state governors and legislatures. Each state will have one vote, which goes to the majority decision made by the state's delegation. Until a final decision has been made, the delegates will be prohibited from making any comments on the processes of the convention. The 36 members of the temporary legislature have set up in the Senate Chamber to conduct their daily business. Sources have said that the top priorities at the moment are the rapid creation of an budget to fund initial government efforts, establishing a basic framework for civil and criminal law at the federal level and the creation of basic federal agencies to provide essential government functions for both the transitional period and the future. As per the conditions of the Status of Union Agreement, the legislature has unanimously passed a bill of rights as its first law to ensure basic human and political rights to all citizens of the USNA. The three members of the executive triumvirate have several priorities. One of the most pressing is the creation of a federal military defense force. Other issues that need to be dealt with include settling legal disputes between the states and the running government agencies formed by the legislature or by executive decision, which requires unanimous approval of all three members of the triumvirate. The establishment of relations with foreign nations is also said to be an important issue that will be worked on as a priority.
  5. 'The Siege of Washington DC' John stood far back from the seige lines seperating mankind from machine, every now and then bursts of plasma fire and heavy armour would light up the landscape as both sides traded fire. Standing over six feet tall and in his thirties, John was an imposing man, brutally scarred from years of fighting made looking at him quite difficult in the wrong light. He was heavily muscled and dark in the eyes, his beard cut and torn with thick scarring of the skin beneath. His clothes were faded and ripped in places, but the unmistakable patch of the US military on his arm, and the new, but not so new, 'TechComm' patch stitched to his red armband made him stand out amongst the leadership. With the war for all intents and purposes over, the Resistance leadership was forced to convene to discuss the formation of a civilian Government, but years of battle had turned most civilians into soldiers. Connor sat and listened to his commanders debate the point for days and days until they simply suggested that he remain in charge and assign people he thought best to Government offices. With a sigh he agreed and returned to his quarters. 'So it has come to this' he mused mentally, staring at the ceiling from his cot. The territory he now found himself responsible for was largely untouched by the future war, only its people were damaged. Since the transmission had gone out, tens of thousands of people had started entering resistance territory from the 'whitelands' surrounding the states. The population increasing daily as they registered with TechComm forces on the borders, issued passports and went on their way. It would take years for him to return his people to their feet and former standing. He stood up and walked over to his locker and opened it, taking out a chest. Taking out the key around his neck, he opened the chest and took out the contents. The last relic he owned of what he knew to be the old world, an old, tattered, slightly burned from gunfire and plasma, old glory. The stars and stripes, like most things he owned were faded. But it didnt stop him walking to the top of his command bunker and running it up the flag pole. Washington DC would fall one way or the other. He would send a delegate to the machines.
  6. Aden – A new spending bill passed the Majlis al-Shura, which will fund modernization in the Novakian military and cities. The massive infrastructure project will seek to bring all major metropolitan cities up to modern construction standards and rebuild the capital of Aden into the Middle East’s gem. It will provide funds to local governments to improve roads in Somalia and Djibouti, as well as build a national highway system. A major feature of this system will be the Red Sea Bridge, one of the largest bridge projects in the world, which will connect the African territories with the Middle Eastern territories. The Army will be receiving upgrades in equipment, with the search for a new rifle and battle tank to begin after the President signs the bill. Army officials have argued the necessity of such upgrades to ensure the safety of the nation in light of expansions from Babylon and Great Lakes. The Air Force would also be seeing an upgrade in structure and aircraft under this bill. The Navy will be modernized with the start of a new, yet-to-be-named, destroyer. Xamar – The provincial government of Somalia has approved a medical research grant request from the Edna Adan Provincial Hospital to look into bone regeneration technology, which will focus on how to improve the quality of life of osteoporosis and degenerative bone disease patients. The grant is requesting money to begin conducting human trials on such patients to determine possible side effects from treatment and the costs associated with human treatment. The trials are set to be completed in the next year, with a continuous study being developed to determine possible long-term effects.
  7. With the new nation rising, the protector gone, the leaders of the USCA's member states would have many things to do. A census needed to be conducted, military forced raised and equipped, and many other things had to be organised. Over the next weeks, a census was conducted and the theoretical peak of military personnel would be evaluated while the state governments reorganised themselves in order to streamline the bureaucracy and other state services. Yucatan - 11,598,893 Belize - 312,698 Guatemala - 13,824,463 Honduras - 8,249,574 El Salvador - 6,134,000 Nicaragua - 6,071,045 Costa Rica - 4,301,712 Panama - 3,661,868 Total - 54,154,053 Yucatan - 239,778 Belize - 22,966 Guatemala - 108,890 Honduras - 112,090 El Salvador - 21,040 Nicaragua - 130,373 Costa Rica - 51,100 Panama - 78,200 Total - 764,437 It was determined that the theoretical maximum military forces that the USCA was capable of supporting amounted to roughly 2,170,000 men in the ground forces, around 21,700 tanks with appropriate personnel, 1,260 aircraft and related personnel, as well as up to 92 naval vessels. However, the likelihood of such a gargantuan military being required was determined to be incredibly low. Thus, at most 750,000 men and 1,200 tanks (not counting support vehicles, artillery and others), 360 airplanes (for 30 squadrons) and around 180 warships would be financed. The ships would be split into 60 corvettes, 40 frigates, 40 destroyers, 12 cruisers, 6 battleships, 4 carriers, as well as a number of submarines and amphibious assault ships. Furthermore, a declaration would be issued on the topic of the Panama Canal. "Let it be known that the USCA will now and forever respect and accept TSI governance of the Panama Canal territory, until such a time that the TSI and its members may be unwilling or unable to perform these duties anymore, the likelihood of which is nil. We are confident that the TSI will always be capable of administrating the canal. Let it also be known that for their valiant and enviable conduct in securing and protecting our nation, the Hudson Bay Federation will be granted a special trade exception for Tequila and closely related beverages, so that their people may forever enjoy it cheaply and easily."

  9. The Gerousia and Damons both today signed a bill proposed by King Alexander which would enable work to begin on all of the ancient monuments and sites in Greece to restore them to their former glory. The two biggest of these projects will be the Acropolis in Athens and the monumental undertaking in Rhodes. Of Rhodes's many ancient sites, non are as well known as the Colossus of Rhodes. This enourmous statue stood of taller than the statue of liberty and guarded the the harbour of Rhodes. Sadly, after a century an earthquake brought it down and it faded into history. The new Colossus will be constructed using modern techniques and materials, allowing it to be built even taller than the original. Its design will be based largely on the artists renderings of the old colossus, but it will not be by the sea. Even with earthquake resistance design and modern alloys, if it did collapse, it would cause untold damage and loss of life to the port and surrounding area, so the decision has been made to create an artificial island just off shore and construct it there. It is estimated to take around ten to fifteen years to be completed, around the same time as the work going on elsewhere in Greece.
  10. The People's Government Announces Five Year Plan After consultation with the Central People's Government Council, Mao Zedong has announced the initiation of the nation's first Five Year Plan. Mao Zedong has ordered that the First Five Year Plan is to strive for a high rate of economic growth and emphasize development in heavy industry (mining, iron manufacturing, and steel manufacturing) and technology. In addition, emphasis is to be placed on modern agricultural production techniques in order to increase monthly agricultural yields. Strengthening national defense was also apart of the nation's first Five Year Plan, with Mao Zedong ordering the People's Liberation Army to be prepared for war within the next five years.

The Chairman and his Council needed to know how many people lived in the nation, after all. How many Workers, Children and Elderly. It was completed with great efficiency, taking mere days. The nation's total population thus came to 30,849,916 people, with the majority concentrated in the Colombian territories. 12. [Live Broadcast on BSPAN] "Well !@#$, that was unexpected." Giorgio was shocked by the sudden abandonment of the entire island of Borneo to the fledgling republic. Even moreso by the military protection afforded by the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. "I hope they're not intending to incorporate us into them, but it's nice to know that no blood will be shed. Even moreso that we have, for the moment, an ally of sorts." He smirked unsatisfactorily. "You can sit, already." ...A long, monotonous address began... ....It would seem like forever.... .....By the end, nobody cared..... And then the new Prime Minister slammed his fist against the podium, waking his audience with a shock. "It is time to vote on the bill. I hope you've been paying attention, because the future of our country is at stake." And so the Parliament went home to go to get high and have sex with expensive escorts of multiple genders, religions, and sexual orientations. 14. After ending decades of anarchy, strife, and warfare, the Republic of Burma has finally been reconstituted, thanks to General Thibaw Min, who succeeded in building a national army and crushed the warlords and rebels who had once run rampant. As the nation is now fully functioning, General Thibaw has become the Republics first head-of-state, and is pleased to announce that Burma is back. More news to come.
  15. Britannian Empire News Tonight As the Empire of Britannia has now made an official declaration of existence to the world some people fear for their future. With the overwhelming power the Royal Family holds over all aspects of the country and the current Nobel structure the common people can only look to the Senate to voice their fears and even then only hope the Senate can get the Royal Family to listen. CLASSIFIED The House of Lords membership has recently come under the threat of assassination by a yet unknown rebel faction within the Empire. In response to this the House of Lords immediately voted on increasing funding to stopping the threat of any rebel factions within the Empire. The vote passed although Emperor Lelouch Li Britannia put a stop to it before it could come into effect for unknown reasons.
  16. Earlier in the week, Ioannes Palaiologos, Bishop of Alexandria, made the announcement that he had granted permission to a civilian organization, known as the Malachian Order of Aidenn, to form. Formal training, to ensure that the Malachians are well-versed in Aidennic scripture and teachings, will be given to them. Another section is being added to the Alexandrian Bethgan to make room for their studies. In addition, non-Malachians will be allowed entry, so that the everyday Alexandrian can further their understanding of Aidennism. The Head of the Order, Zubair Shadid, was quoted saying, "Malachians live their life humbly. Our only goal in life, is to bring the word of God to those who do not know of him. The name of our order, Malachian, represents this, for it means Messenger." The Malachian Order is to become the only approved-missionary organization by the Aidennic Church, as the Church does not like to formally preach to non-Aidennists, so as to respect their beliefs. As the Malachians are a civilian order, it is likely they will be at the forefront of missionary efforts throughout the known world. Malachians will also be trained in first-aid at the Bethgan, allowing them to serve with not only the Alexandrian army, but armies all around the world.
  17. As Druk Yul came to form around a theocratic constitutional monarchy centered with its capitol at the religious temple of Druk Ralung, the dragons moved out of the mountains until their abode in the niches of everst could be constructed. It would take a great deal of time for the full complex to be built, though living quarters would be completed wtihin a month. Maelstrom's vision was guiding the monks to turn Everest not only into a Holy abode, but secretly also one of the most heavilly foritified structures/bunkers on the entire planet. He and his fellow Druk began to teach the people of Druk Yul as they visited the temple. Even scientists, who were wholly secular in their faith began to visit the temples.. miraculously.. they were not struck blind by the Druk. Maelstroms explanation to the monks was, "They serve me without knowing." He began to bring them up to date on modern engineering techniques with the aid of Dread Space, their pilot and several of the technicians who had traveled with them and escaped the burning inferno of their homeworld. Unfortunately, they found their ability to make progress limited to the average technological age of this planet's super powers. Manufacturing techniques and the inability to access several key manufactured elements in abundance prevented them from teaching their full technological spectrum to their visitors. ##At Druk Ralung In the meantime, the 'Druk' passed the time as they would have on their home world resting and happy in each other's company. The first night had been a challenge for Maelstrom and Koudoawaia. What he had to explain to her, was difficult. He hoped she would believe him. As they rested on their nest of cotton and cloth provided by the monks they talked... "What happened to you back there?" Koudoa spoke in soft hissing tones to her beloved. Maelstrom sighed, "It's difficult to explain, but lets just say.. I know how this universe works better than any scientist or technician who will ever live." "How" She canted her head to rest upon his shoulder. "Because I am dreaming this reality Koudoawaia.. and many in it are part of my dream.. and you will take this as hard to believe, but even you are part of that dream, based on an entity I know.. from what could be said to be another layer of reality. She is also my mate there." He whispered to her in soft tones as he stroked her jaw. "I gave you her same aspects.. a beauty of your own, a talent for the arts, a timid and gentle nature that any male would be blessed to have by his side." Koudoawaia looked incredulous, "You're saying I'm not real to you and that I'm based on someone else?" She snorted. "But if I pinch myself I feel the pain." Maelstrom smiled to her while rubbing her shoulders and letting his sii rake softly over her neck, "No.. I imagine you feeling the pain.. and you do, because there are more dreamers than besides myself.. and we have agreed upon how this world shall work, its rules, its boundaries. The standards here are.. like you.. based on another layer of reality." "Then why imagine us?" He sighed, "The layer this all is based on, is sometimes stressful. It is easier to escape away into a dream to construct one's own world and it makes things more fascinating to share that dream with others. Some awake, some not. So far as I know.. I'm the only awakened dreamer in this world." "But you were so different when we landed. Your personality has changed a lot, even your nervous ticks are somewhat different. If you've always been dreaming us, why have you changed?" She nuzzled at his jaw. "Because I was not whole. This is not the first time I have lived." He explained. "My spirit has inhabited several bodies in the past. Each one a creation of my thoughts. However, as part of the rules of this world.. I had to find a way to protect the contuinity of my presence. That is what the amulets were for. In one of my incarnations I grew immensely powerful, not personally, but in my connections. To each of my friends I gave an amulet. In each of the amulets were a part of me. When any one of the amulets come into contact with one of my avatars.. I can awaken...... if I wish to. This time I did. This world is like my old one, but it's not quite the same. The dreamers are different, the standards are tighter... better.. the governance has improved. I wanted to stay this time. Especially since you could be here again." "Again? I was here before?" She was even more confused. He smiled and chuckled, "Yes, I dreamed you before. A different body.. a different mind.. with different memories.. but the same soul. You were taken from me by unfortunate events when I tried to shape that dream. Other dreamers contested my actions.. you became a casualty." He looked to her. "I'll protect your image better this time my love. I promise. This time, I also intend to be more patient with the other dreamers.. maybe the contest will not be so great as to cause such catastrophe this time around." He stretches with her on the mat of cloth and cotton. "Lets get some rest, we have much to dream about on the morrow.. and that's one of the unspoken rules.. every organic creature sleeps sometime.." "You have more than I to dream about it seems." She trilled amusedly, shaking her head still somehwat skeptical. They settled into deep slumber in each other's arms.
  18. The Constant The Constant, former Imperial sectors, Boz Pity, Bimmissaari, and Charros IV having lost all contact with the greater Empire are alone. Since the rebellion began a ominous pillar of dark energy could be seen above the skies in all three sectors, it was only a matter of time before The Fall. For roughly nine days Grey Jedi-General Quaron the Pitiless of the 777th Imperial Army, a force numbering over 300,000 clones, felt the wrath of the dark gods when reality rent itself and trapped them in these sectors. During The Fall, nearly everyone lost a part of themselves as sanity became insanity. The dark whispers of power and impossible magicks, plagued the 777th all the while. On the 9th day of The Fall, the 777th came to. Scattered amongst three sectors, they'd lost any and all contact with the greater Empire. Believing it defeated by the rebellion, Grey Jedi-General Quaron the Pitiless along with his trusted officers of the 777th decided that the empire must endure. Should it have fallen in the thirteen years that were to follow of their isolation due to ether-storms, storms within space which inhibit communication and travel, The Constant would stand. The Empire would live on through the last known loyalists, the 777th. When the members of the 777th and The Pitiless finally managed to regain some type of communications they reunited the entirety of the 777th, this was year nine of their isolation. In those previous nine years, Bimmissaari and Charros IV 777th Units had descended to anarchy and chaos, fighting amongst themselves as warlords vied for control of what would, under The Pitiless, become known as The Constant. The Pitiless and his loyalists regained control of the star fleet in hit and run tactics in which the Imperial Shards' a splinter navy was defeated by The Constant, and within the year Bimmissaari and Charros IV warlords were under heel of The Pitiless. With the Sectors of Boz Pity, Bimmissaari and Charros IV under heel and toe, the rebuilding efforts began. Yes, with some great effort and one new prototype, the clones began birthing again. Though not of Jango Fetts DNA, but of Zabrak DNA which hailed from The Pitiless. This rendered quite a large majority of the newly birthed clones to have some distant force capabilities. Nothing which could birth them into fully fledged force users, but it did improve most their physical limitations, they could run faster, jump higher, think quicker, learn at astonishing rates. But they had a drawback, the Zabrak clones of The Pitiless were deeply marred by a flawed matrix in their creations. They were utterly blind, and so to compensate were taught in force sensitivity to see with their minds and emotions, a type of power that could lead to destruction if not taught properly. It took nearly 9 years for a batch of Zabrak clones from creation to armament day. Only four batches had been completed by the time The Constant was able to regain full and total communication with the greater Empire once the storms abated, and what we awoke to... was anarchy. In short order The Constant sent out distress codes to any and all loyalist Imperials in the known Empire, hoping to find allies in this dark dark world. The Pitiless sat on his obsidian throne on Boz Pity, in deep meditation with the Sons of Quaron, his personal Grey Order of Jedi, hoping for some guidance in who and what was real. The Constant, last true thread of the known Empire for the past thirteen years was adrift in sea, amidst a swarm of sharks and other enemies. 23. Government Votes to Raise Corporate Tax ABUJA - Today, President Yayi Boni signed a bill raising the tax rate on corporations from 28% to 35%. The bill passed the House of the People by an overwhelming majority of 424-76, including all of the Social Democratic Party, all of the Left Party, and an overwhelming majority of the Guinean National Party and the Igbo National Party. John Adeyemi, leader of the Social Democratic Party and author of the bill, has said that this bill is, "Necessary to protect the interests of the Guinean people." It raises the cost of operations in Guinean sovereign territory for foreign companies as well, from 24% of total revenue to 35% of total revenue earned from Guinean operations. More specifically, it targets the oil companies operating in the Gulf of Guinea. It levies a 40% tax on all oil and gas exploration in Guinea. However, it also provides incentive to domestic corporations' drilling operations, raising the tax on new oil and gas exploration for a Guinean corporation to only 32%. As all land is owned by the government, corporations and residents are required to pay a tax for what they wish to use the land for. Some, like family farms and tribal villages, is tax-free, while others, such as oil and gas exploration are taxed. "We regret this disincentive to businesses," CEO of Nigerian Gas & Oil Co, a Lagusa-based corporation, "it will surely push business away and jobs will go with it." Nigerian Gas & Oil Co. is the largest oil company in Nigeria and the fourth-largest in the world. When asked about the NGO response, Adeyemi said, "I'm sure they will get along fine with a little less than their record profits they posted last year." NGO posted record revenues of $450 billion and record profits of $18 billion last year.
