We, the Friends of Doom (DBDC, DW, DT and DS), hereby resume the hostilities with the Union Of Communist Republics (UCR). On October 28th 2021, an agreement was reached with UCR, with peace being achieved on certain terms. I draw your attention to Section 4 of the agreed terms: “UCR agrees that a diplomatic solution should have been tried before resorting to military action in defense of nations that we are not allied to. MrMarx, as the leader of UCR, apologies to Al Bundy for not attempting diplomacy.” Well, here we are. UCR is deemed to have breached Section #4 of the peace terms. A diplomatic solution concerning USN (United Socialist Nations) and DW was not actioned, as a result of an undisclosed treaty between USN and UCR that has not been formally recognized by Planet Bob, nor has said Planet Bob been made aware. And rather than seek a diplomatic section as per Section #4, UCR has proceeded to “recognize hostilities” against DW and seek a more aggressive, undiplomatic and a more twisted form of justice. “On April 22, forces of the Doom Wolves launched an ideologically motivated imperialist assault on the United Socialist Nations, a protectorate of the Union of Communist Republics. The UCR views all attacks against it's protectorates as attacks against itself.” The question you're all thinking is how is DW supposed to be aware of such a tie between USN and UCR, given that it has not been disclosed on USN’s alliance biography or any prior alliance announcement elsewhere. But thanks to the investigative works of Franz Ferdinand, it has been determined that the UCR’s alliance biography was updated a day after the raid by DW. This not only legitimizes the raid, but completely invalidates the course of action that UCR have taken. Since then DW has made moves to establish peace, but this has been met with further attacks. Therefore, as per Section #5 of the peace terms agreed on 28th October 2021, an attempt at diplomacy was initiated in order to achieve a resolution. This has not been reached, leaving with no alternative, but to resume hostilities with UCR. May the swift axe of Doom justice smite thee down. Article I - Cessation of Hostilities The Green Protection Agency and the collective of Doom Wolves, Doom Squad & Doombird Doomcave hereby agree to a cessation of all warfare/hostilities by game update of February 14th, 2022. No new war declarations will be made by any party after the signing of this agreement; current active wars will end when they expire or establish peace; and any remaining pre-existing warfare/hostilities shall be ended by game update of February 14th. Article II - Perennial Agreement The aforementioned parties agree to a perennial peace agreement, active between game update of February 14, 2022 and February 14, 2023, where no warfare/hostilities of any kind shall be committed by any party against the other. Article III - Agreement Review This agreement will be reviewed by all parties annually for renewal and possible revision. If no annual review takes place, then no automatic renewal of agreement takes place. Article IV - Additional Provisions Dependent or splinter alliance affiliations originating from any of the aforementioned alliances are also included in this agreement for all intents and purposes. From the Desk of Jason8, Crown Prince of Kashmir Victory Is Achieved vs. Doom Squad Happily, it has come to my attention that one of Kashmir's members has successfully fended off three members of Doom Squad. As a Declaration was made publicly, a public response from Kashmir is due. Kashmir's member performed three spy operations on a member nation of Doom Squad. This member's spies were caught by the Doom Squad nation's anti-espionage team on the third spy attempt. This is unacceptable. The spies that failed were abandoned behind enemy lines and are presumed to be executed by now. Good riddance. In response, Doom Squad did not open dialog with the government of Kashmir to find a peaceful resolution. Instead, Doom Squad initiated a surprise update blitz that caused near-irreversible damage to the Kashmiri nation in question. This is unacceptable behavior from an alliance of their status, and because of this, Kashmir recognized the hostilities of Doom Squad against her member nation and Kashmir condemned the actions of Doom Squad. Doom Squad hereby issues a declaration of war against Union of Communist Republics in defense of Doom Wolves pursuant to our treaty obligations with the unduly victimized party. In addition, we find Union of Communist Republics’ recent resolution regarding enforcing a “no tech raid doctrine” on Planet Bob to be unenforceable. Our charter (alongside a great many other alliances) allows for the raiding of unaligned nations and this historical practice will never be one successfully policed. Thus, we assume there is a possibility that the Union of Communist Republics will attack us (anytime at their convenience) or any other affiliation that engages in forcible technological reallocation and acknowledge their potential as a rouge entity in the Cyberverse. Since the early days of CLAWS, we've relied on our bot, Lord Hershey, to provide us with help and guidance. With its namesake returning to CN, it was inevitable that we would ask... First, have a section where the alliances involved make it clear that they are two alliances. Also state that the two alliances will not fight each other. You can call it Article One and/or Peace and Sovereignty For instance, Second, figure out what type of defense treaty you want and then make that Article Two and/or Defense. For instance, if you decide to have an Optional Defense Treaty (ODP) write it something like this: The 'may' in the above line means that the parties can choose to defend each other, but are not required to do so by the treaty. Third, figure out if you want to also add an Article regarding Aggression - which means that the leadership of the two alliances agree to attack another alliance together. This is usually 'optional' and so for this example, it will also be optional. This will be Article Three. Finally, end the treaty with a cancellation clause. These clauses are usually listed between 24 to 72 hours warning. For example, At the end of the treaty, the government officials of each alliance add their signatures. This is not required, however it is common at this point to do a "too long, didn't read" note at the end. In the above example it would be as follows:

The Entente Declaration of Existence IRC: #TheEntente on Coldfront www.entente.forumotion.com En ce jour l'Entente déclare officiellement son existence aux membres de Planète Bob. No, just kidding. The Entente declares it’s existence officially today, founded on the strengths of Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, and the idea of Unity for all whom reside in the Cyberverse. While Planet Bob probably expects some sort of uplifting thing to show that we aren’t a bunch of idiots, we don’t have that. L'idiotie est le bonheur! The Entente is currently under a protectorate by Doom Squad. The Constitution of The Entente Upon the creation of The Entente, we must now govern ourselves with an unforgiving fist of order and law. The Supreme Council and his/her council shall use legislation in order to further the cause of the Entente, and ensure prosperity for all of its members. I. The Supreme Council 1.1. The Supreme Council shall consist of 3 rulers with ultimate authority, and a system of checks and balances in order to keep abuse in order, these shall consist of: The President of The Council: The ruler of the alliance, and may use a veto to override the decision of the Council. He/she has absolute authority in matters of non-legislative Internal Affairs. The Premier: Directly under the President, and has absolute authority with the exception of interalliance warmongering. The Chancellor: Under the President and Premier, he/she has absolute authority with the exception of interalliance warmongering and the honorment of alliance members without the approval of the council. 1.2. In order to maintain balance in a council with unlimited power, these three, the President of The Council, Premier, and Chancellor, shall be able to overturn one another by a unanimous vote of the two not approving of the legislation. For Example: President of The Council may be overturned by Premier and Chancellor. Priemer may be overturned by Chancellor and President. Chancellor may be overturned by President and Premier. In the event of the Supreme Ruler’s insistence on stopping of legislation, he/she is allowed one Veto, which throws away bill for a period of 14 days for the proposer to rewrite the bill. The Supreme Ruler may only veto a bill once every 30 days. 1.3. Each member of the Supreme Council is allowed to appoint one secretary in order to assist with the jobs of his/her appointed role. These secretaries hold no power not directly given to them by the member of the Supreme Council of which they were appointed, however, the secretaries still are considered members of the Supreme Council, and shall act as witnesses for the passing of legislation. II. The Path of a Bill and Democracy 2.1. A Bill, before reaching the council of the Supreme Council for the ultimate decision, must be passed through a larger council of 9 members, of which requires a ⅔ vote (or 6/9 members) to pass. 2.2. A Bill shall be introduced to the council through one of 4 district representatives (which will be explained later) for voting and debate. 2.3 Upon a bill’s reaching to the Supreme Council, a decision against the passing of the bill shall send the bill back to the council, where they must make the decision of rewriting the bill to return to the Supreme Council or destroying the legislation. 2.4. In the event of the President’s use of a veto, both the Premier and the Chancellor shall meet with the council in order to count for another ⅔ vote to override the veto (The Premier and Chancellor’s vote count as 2, bringing the total votes to 13.) III. Council Members and District Representatives 3.1. Council Members shall be elected one of two ways: Each member of the Supreme Council may appoint one member of the council, but are not required to do so. The remaining council positions may be filled by election of popular vote. 3.2. In the event of a tie vote, the Supreme Council shall decide who is appointed to the position. 3.3. The Role of a Council Member shall be to meet and debate legislation put forward by a district representative, then to put to a vote in order to push the bill to the Supreme Council. 3.4. District Representatives shall be elected by popular vote of members that do not hold public office. 3.5. The Function of District Representatives is to receive bills or the idea of a bill from any member of the Entente below him, and will also write up the original draft of the bill. IV. Elections 4.1. Elections for Council Members and District Representatives shall be held every 90 days, and the winner shall be deemed by a popular vote. 4.2. In the event that there is no other party challenging a Council Member of District Representative, the vote shall instead institute this members holding of that office for the next term duration. If the vote is against the member continuing to hold the office, the Supreme Command shall appoint the new holder of the office for the term. 4.3. Members of the Supreme Council shall not be elected, but rather appointed by the President of The Council. A Supreme Council member shall serve indefinitely, with the exception of resignation or condemnation due to political or social corruption. 4.4. Corruption shall be deemed by the Supreme Council on a ⅔ vote, and can include, but is not limited to: Selling of Public Office Destruction of Public Records Violence Against Alliance Members Accepting Monetary Compensation for Favors Disrespect against our Allies V. Condemnation/Acquitance of Criminals 5.1. In the event of a Criminal offense (See Corruption) the Council shall select 7 members of the general population to serve as a jury for the persecuted. The Chancellor shall act as the judge of the Supreme Court and serve punishments due to the jury’s decision. 5.2. The prosecution (whom shall be appointed by the Chancellor) will label out to the selected jury members the crime the defense is being charged with, as well as the crime he/she allegedly committed. 5.3. The Defense is allowed to counteract arguments and make a plea with the court after the argument of the prosecution is complete, but must do so in a respectful and timely manner. 5.4. The jury shall decide acquitance or condemnation of the defense by a majority vote. 5.5. Perjury or unlawful decisions made by the jury due to personal relationships with the defense shall be met with a punishment of criminal offense without trial. VI. Foreign Relations 6.1. It is the job of the Premier (with the exception of declarations of war, which must be decided on vote by the Supreme Council) is in charge of foreign relations and the choosing of ambassadors to other alliances. 6.2. The Premier may choose to delegate this task to the Chancellor. 6.3. Ambassadors shall be someone who holds no other public office (with the exception of secretaries of the Supreme Council and Supreme Council Members) whom shall contact other alliances in order to discuss conflict or the forming of alliances between the two. VII. Alliance Assistance to a Single Nation 7.1. Upon a nation’s request of monetary or military assistance from the Entente, the Council shall meet in order to review the case and decide the amount, if any, of assistance a nation is allotted. 7.2. A Nation may not receive assistance with an alliance seniority of less than 15 days, and may not request assistance more than once every 30 days. VIII. Amendments 8.1. Amendments may be made to this document through the same process as any other form of legislation. However, an amendment can only be brought forth by a member of the Council or the Supreme Council. IX. Membership and Admission 9.1. All nations in good standing with the Entente and it’s allies may join the Entente under the circumstances of the current members of the Supreme Council, which shall be indefinitely displayed in the “New Member Center” of the Entente’s forums. 9.2. All Nations of the Entente receive recognition to become active in the government at the level of the Council or above after a 15 day pending period or a message of clearance from the President of The Council. The Cure for Scurvy Accords An Optional Defense and Aggression Pact Preamble Expressing a desire to co-exist in harmony, to strengthen their friendship, and to build a solid foundation for their relationship, Doom Squad and the Orange Defense Network have come together to announce this Optional Defense and Aggression Pact. Article I: Sovereignty Pledging to never infringe on the sovereignty of each other, the signatories of this pact promise to operate under the principle of non-interference in the each others' internal affairs. Article II: Non-Aggression The signatories of this pact will refrain from any and all forms of hostile activity against each other, be it something as explicit as the use of military force or something covert, like espionage. Article III: Intelligence The signatories of this pact are to share any information or intelligence which pertains to the safety, stability, or overall well-being of each other. The recipient of any such information or intelligence is not to share it with third parties without explicit permission. Article IV: Aid & Financial Transactions The signatories of this pact are encouraged to financially assist each other in dire times, and to engage in financial transactions for their mutual benefit. Article V: Optional Defense & Optional Aggression Although neither signatory of this pact is legally bound to grant a military assistance request if its fellow signatory is under attack, both signatories have the option to do so if they wish. Likewise, both signatories declare that they will help each other in any aggressive wars if they so wish. Article VI: Cancellation This pact will come into effect immediately after ratification. If either signatory wishes to cancel this pact, they may do so at any time, however, a period of 72 hours must pass after the initial notification of cancellation before the pact is null and void.
