  1. Cybernations Roleplay "1940" Current GM's: Peter Ilyich, Greywall Official Timescale: 1 RL month = 1 IC Year IRC: #cnrp40 The Setting The year doesn't matter; we'd never all agree on a timeline anyway so you might as well use 194X. The only common history is that World War I happened to some degree, except it ended in a white peace of some kind. The technology years range from 1935 to 1940. This means the equipment must be in production or service in your tech year. This will be detailed more in the rules. Starting a Nation There are three ways to start a nation. - The first is to find white space that is not labelled as a protectorate, and post a DoE. - The second way is to find a protectorate and either request it of them private message its owner (there is a list of protectorate owners below) or find them in our Coldfront channel, #cnrp2. - You may also make a post in this map thread asking if there is any significant land. There is a rare occasion that someone will grant you a piece of their own (coloured) land, but this is, like I said, rare. (Thank you CNRP2 Rule Thread) Only after a DoE has been posted will land go on the map. This means that posting in the map thread that you want Examplestan does not guarantee you Examplestan. If somebody DoE's before you as Examplestan, then you're out of luck; talk to them, not the mapmaker. Oversea Territories (colonies) are allowed when establishing one's nation, but will be limited. List of Nations & Protectorates North America Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Peter Ilyich South East Tribes - Supercheese Communist States of America - Markus Wildig Oregon - Dillon1102 South America Europe Spanish Empire - Greywall Swedish Empire - Yawoo Poland - Euphaia Tsardom of Russia - Centurius Africa Asia Republic of Persia - Mrdirector Great Soviet Union - Kevin Kingswell Oceania Antarctica The Rules Section 1: Points & National Strength Evangeline Anovilis, on 09 Sept 2014 - 6:48 PM, said: Section 3: Gaining Land Players may gain land by militarily expanding into it. Land expansion is fully contestable for two (2) weeks, and the annexed land cannot be added to the map until the two weeks have been completed. Land Expansion should typically be only of provinces/states; exceptions to annex a whole country* may be asked of the GM team. Annexation requires a minimum of five (5) posts; up to three (3) additional posts may be requested by the GM as a team should the territory be considered large. *This would be most appropriate in areas such as the Balkans. All links directly related to the expansion must be included in the map thread post requesting the land, at the end of the two weeks. All annexation, contestation of annexation, and protectorates, requires soldiers on the ground, or something equivalent, which is deducted from your force count. Section 3: The Gamemasters & Mapmaker The Mapmaker holds the position of making the map. This is a volunteer position. The Map Maker's powers are limited to the following: -Making the map; this means that it is the mapmaker's job to place the territory held by players onto the map. -Denying unreasonable claims. The mapmaker may decline claims of excessive starting size (for example, China + Tibet + Mongolia, or Germany + Poland, would be excessive starting claims). This can be overruled by the GM team. -Enforcing Section 3 through their Map Making powers. -Maintaining Updated Rules: The mapmaker must keep the rules in the thread accurate and up to date. There are three (3) GM's, who are elected for two (2) month terms. The nomination period lasts 48 hours, followed by a 48 hour election. Only players with nations may vote. Their powers are explained below: -Random Event rolls & points: Once a week the GM team may make a roll for a Random Event (Section 4). Nations targeted may opt out of the event. Nations which RP the Random Event out may earn up to 3 national points, the awarding of which must be approved by the full GM team. If a GM's nation is chosen, they are excluded from the GM team in terms of the vote. -Dispute Arbitration: The GM team pause, retcon, or make rulings on roleplays in order to create a healthier community. During a dispute, the two parties must send a PM to all involved parties, as well as the full GM team. If a GM's nation is involved, they may not rule on the matter. -Creation of Rule Polls: Alternations to rules must be made by the players. A player discussion must run for a minimum of one (1) week, after which polling options must be presented by the players. An option for the status quo must always be included in the poll. The poll runs for 48 hours. The winning option is then given to the mapmaker to be placed in the Map & Rules thread. -Removal of Players: The GM team may create a poll to remove a player. A 75% majority is needed to remove a player from the RP. -IC/OOC Line Enforcement: The GM team holds the exclusive power to retcon roleplay, without evidence, should the team as a whole suspect that the IC/OOC line is being toyed with or tampered. This does not allow removal of nations; merely the retcon of specific RP. Section 4: Random Events Once a week, the GM team may make two rolls: one to determine the impacted nation, and one to apply one (1) of the effects on the list. Nations targeted may opt out of the event. Nations which RP the Random Event out may earn up to 3 national points, the awarding of which must be approved by the full GM team. If a GM's nation is chosen, they are excluded from the GM team in terms of the vote. -Emergence of Counter-Government Revolutionaries -Drought/Poor Harvest -Economic Recession -Heavy Rains & Flooding -Workers' Strikes in one or more major cities -Soldiers' Strikes in one or more brigades -Assassination/death of a government official -Pandemic/Plague in one or more major cities -Large National Disaster (Earthquake, large tornadoes, etc.) -Economic/Industrial Disaster (Major mine collapses, price for specific commodity collapses, major ammunition factory explodes, etc.) Section 5: Community Drive Rules Changing the rules is up to the community. The members of the community have a voice in deciding what the rules are and how they should be applied. Members of the CNRP'40 community can post discussion threads to talk about new rules, old rules, and/or changing the rules. Polls can be posted as well, however, GM polls are the official measure of the community's desire to modify, remove, or add new rules. Rule Vote Archives: Initial Rule Vote

He organized the entire government, established law and order, made the nation into an economic powerhouse, and defeated the Islamic Republic, a terrorist organization which bombed Fenway Park and attempted to destroy Old Plymouth. He also past Act 27, more commonly known as the Gun Rights Act, which would later be passed as the 9th Amendment on the Constitution of 1940, the Massachusetts constitution in use today. Although some parts of his administration are up to debate, he is a founding father of Massachusetts, one of the greatest presidents we have ever had, and practically carved the nation with his own hands. 2: Maurice J. Tobin(6-9) VP: Ora Knight -The Tobin Administration has been one of controversy, debate, and mixed emotions. Not only did the Tobin Administration make many lousy, sloppy actions, but they also undermined the Coolidge Administration, thus causing both administrations to be subject to debate. Although Tobin's mandate begun with the democrats in power, him being a celebrity, and them successfully altering anything they felt necessary, he was defeated by a joint collaboration between the republicans and the harborcrats. Tobin began to spread propaganda nullifying the harborcrats and their movements to establish an american society. His administration ended in just three years, as well as three years early, following the Massachusetts Declaration of War Against the Communist States of America, an order which he fulfilled without consent and approval from congress, an unconstitutional act which called for special elections to take place in one year. His final major action besides launching multiple attacks on Communist soil, was approving Act 62, more commonly known as the Coolidge Rules Act. It is known this because it was a government structure proposed five years ago by the Coolidge Administration. 3: Calvin Coolidge(10) VP: Percival Proctor Baxter -Following the special elections in 8 ACI, former Republican President Calvin Coolidge returned to the office now under the American Party in 10 ACI. The second Coolidge Administration was cut short after 97 days in the Executive's Mansion when Coolidge was hospitalized with coronary thrombosis. Five days later, Coolidge was announced dead and Percival Proctor Baxter assumed the Presidency for the remainder of the Coolidge term. The only significant act he passed was Act 80, also called the Parliament Act, because it called for dissolution of Congress, however while hospitalized, he also passed Act 83, calling for new uniforms for the military. 4: Percival Proctor Baxter(10-14) VP: Malcolm Nichols -The Baxter Administration, the first from Maine and first to be seated in Chaplain, was thought to be able to compete even with the successes of their predecessor, Calvin Coolidge, quickly ran downhill into a failure. He was most known as the "Amender," because he was the only president to add 2 amendments to the Constitution of 1940. His Mandate was plagued by war, with the Blockade of Cuba, War on Terrorism, and the Two Years' War. Peace talks prepared by Coolidge failed under Baxter, and the war only escalated. Plans to lower inflation made by Coolidge fell through Baxter's fingers. He did, however, make the Coolidge Rules Act an amendment, as well as passing the Second Act of Parliament, and turning the 2 acts into 1 singular amendment. Shortly after this time, IRIM launched its first attack in nearly 10 years against Massachusetts, launching the Massachusetts War on Terrorism. When it was time for Percival Proctor Baxter to run for reelection, the American Party refused to nominate him for election and instead chose a new candidate to run for the Americans following the only president that truly got nothing done. Secretaries of State of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 1: Malcolm Nichols(10) -Malcolm Nichols is the former Mayor of Boston, a former Harborcratic Activist, and currently on the American Party Board. Shortly after the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was founded, Malcolm Nichols, along with several others, formed the Harbor Party which, after about a year, began to have major success in the political field and would soon compete with the Republican and Democratic Parties. Nichols was elected to the position of Secretary of the Interior in 3 ACI, and served there until 7 ACI. In 6 ACI he ran for President in 6 ACI to no avail. In 8 ACI, the Republican and Harborcratic parties merged to form the American Party, where Malcolm Nichols currently sits on its Board. Nichols left the position of Secretary of State following his promotion to Vice President, following the death of President Coolidge. 2: Edward Paul Revere(10-14) Point Distribution(OOC) Tech: 150 for 1940 Army: 200 for 2,000,000 Artillery: 25 for 7,500 Air Force: 100 for 10,000 Navy: 100(5 for 10 Destroyers, 10 for 10 Cruisers, 15 for 5 Battlecruisers, 20 for 4 Battleships, 10 for 1 Carrier, 20 for 10 Seaplane Tender, 20 for 60 Submarines) Industry: 200
  3. In preparation to continue enforcing the blockade, mine-laying support ships of the US Navy began to drop mines across common sea-lane zones that were expected to be used, and talk-between-ships informed the surface combatants of what was in the waters, and what areas to avoid. Recon and observation planes aboard the USS Yorktown and Georgia spotted the incoming Spanish ships - and also spotted Spanish transports attempting to run the blockade. The transports were warned exactly once in Spanish to stop, and once they continued on their path of sure destruction, were fired upon by the destroyers and light cruisers of the USN First Fleet, while planes prepared to take off from the USS Yorktown. The USS Georgia, Lexington and Myrtle Beach all trained their guns, should one of the smaller cousins miss or something else appear over the horizon.
  4. Comrades of the Communist States of America, rejoice! ATLANTA, GA In the newly-announced capital, President Chairman Earl Browder delivered a speech, in which he reiterated that the American Red Army would commit itself not only to defending the borders of the Communist States of America, but also to expanding what party leaders have called the Golden Circle, a relic some may remember from the American Civil War in the 1860's. In this speech, President Chairman Browder reminded the American people that while the American Red Army is strong and will crush all opposition, it is not yet ready to undertake such a grand and large operation. Also in Atlanta, President Chairman Earl Browder named his cabinet, which consists of: President Chairman: Earl Browder Vice President: James W. 7. Established: 1932 (Fall of Spanish Republic) Government: Single party fascist totalitarian dictatorship (Contras) Head of State: Carlos Mendoza (Head of state, Prime Minister of Spain, Emperor of the Second Empire) Currency: Pesetas Population: 42.7 million, 28.4 million in Spanish Sahara, 3.4 million in Spanish Guiana (note undocumented locals not accounted for.) Unemployment: 8.6% Civil Liberties: The average Spanish citizen is free to live their lives however they wish, but it is considered wise not to speak against the Imperial regime. Many are forced to regular raids in the more isolated regions of the mainland for possible Republican supporters. Non-Spanish citizens, primarily in the colonies, are often oppressed and treated as second class citizens. In its early years under the Mendoza regime, Spanish Sahara rebelled for its independence, it resulted in a very lop sided short war that saw native Africans massacred. Economy: Everything within the Empire is under state control, businesses must pay heavy taxes and must get approval from the state to trade with foreign companies. Jobs are rare but anyone can join the military which proves to be one of the few well paying jobs left in the Empire. Secondary education is funded by the state and anyone can enroll into one of the major universities and pursue a degree in whatever field they want in but jobs aren't guaranteed. Imperial Army: The Imperial Army is the largest branch of the Spanish Armed forces, it was formed shortly after the Republic fell. Over 1,400,000 members strong it is one of the largest armed forces in Europe. Infantry are often trained over a minimum of two weeks and shock troops undergo intense training in Spanish Guiana. Primary firearms: Kar 98k(doubles as Spain's sniper rifle) MP-18, MP-35, MG-34(mounted mg), Beretta Model 38. Secondary firearms: Smith and Wesson Model 101 revolver, Beretta M1935 Other: Model 24 grenade Spanish soldier conducting field training, most of the Imperial army's equipment is German, how it got there is speculated that war profiteers sold both sides excessive munitions left over from World War 1. African Corps: Formed after the Sahara uprisings, the African Corps is a special tactical force that operates in the African colonies. 400,000 in member strength they're often engaged in continuous patrols and police actions against the local population as well as provide defense for the Spanish colonies. They're armed with the Beretta Model 38 a submachine gun that gives them an extreme edge over the local population. Armored Corps: Medium Tanks: Panzer II, S35 SOMUA. Light Tanks: Mark VIII, Fiat M13/40 Imperial Air Force: The Air Force is held in high regard in the Spanish Empire, fighter pilots must pass entrance exams conduct and pass a flight test and are expected to do repairs to their fighter craft. Imperial pilots are held in high regard within Imperial Spain. Fighter Craft: BF-109, Fiat G.50,Brewster Buffalo(Spanish Naval aircraft), Yokosuka B4Y, Bristol Bulldog (used for training and reserves) Bomber craft: Savoia-SM.81s, Piaggio P.108 Imperial Navy: Unlike the rest of the armed forces the Spanish navy has suffered and fallen behind, most of the fleet has been reserved to protecting trade lanes between the mainland and the colonies. Though outdated the Imperial Navy is still formidable in combat and capable of causing sufficient damage. ISS Flagship DeSoto patrolling the coast of Gibraltar
  8. To: Whom it May Concern within the Spanish Empire From: President Calvin Coolidge Dear Spain, It is with the greatest hope that I contact your glorious empire. I do hope your government would be willing to bring over a Representative and establish an embassy in Boston. I look forward to your arrival. Sincerely,

  10. The sudden attack on an emissary was a disgusting and horrid act that would not go unpunished, within hours the Spanish Empire declared war on the South East Tribes of Florida. Most of its mighty fleet would cross the Atlantic, over 500,000 well trained and heavily armed Spanish troops were given orders to invade Florida. Official Declaration of War From this day on, the Empire of Spain declares war on the savage unkept tribes of Florida. Our army shall break these renegades and reestablish order to the territory. Glory to our army, and glory to Emperor Mendoza. May God bring our empire victory. -Chavez Gustava, head of propaganda and social affairs Invasion of Jacksonville Squadrons of Spainish Buffalos would fly recon over the coast of Florida, as the Spanish fleet closed in long range guns on the El Cid Battleships began to open fire along Palm Valley and Jacksonville beach, their guns decimating anything not prepared for their hard hitting shells. Aircraft from carriers flew out constantly looking for enemy aircraft, if none were found they would strafe anything that moved on the ground near the city. Spanish transport ships carrying Spanish infantry in the first wave upwards to 15,000 troops were split into three strike teams. Strike team A would land at Usina Beach, their goal was to secure Araquey and make a landing for the tanks. strike team B would hit Atlantic beach, mission goals to engage any enemy resistance head on to draw away from the other strike teams. And Strike team C would land at Cedar Point, their goal was to secure the North flank and establish a forward landing base for the main invasion. All while the invasion took place heavy bombers being flown off carriers would bombard targets at the center of Jacksonville. Imperial Subs would be deployed to cut off any and all enemy ship activity along the coast threatening the Imperial fleet, and Spanish operatives began working double time in Cuba to establish it as a primary forward base, the war for Florida had begun. 12. Some years ago, on the State Opening of Parliament in 1934, the Westminster Palace cellars were ceremonially searched by the Yeomen Guards, as with every State Opening since the 17th century - to prevent a repeat of the Gunpowder Plot. The ceremony continued when the guardsmen came back up and, as with every year, reported that the cellars were free of evildoers. King George V arrived at the Palace to give his annual speech to Parliament. Near the close of his speech, something entirely unexpected happened. Several dozen tons of TNT placed in the Palace cellars, underneath the House of Lords chamber was detonated. In an event that came to be called the second Burning of Parliament, the King, the government, the opposition, and over a thousand Lords, MP's, clerks, guests, and members of the public perished as a hellish orange mushroom cloud rose above Westminster. The people who "searched" the cellars were nowhere to be found, and the real Yeomen Guards supposed to be there that night were discovered floating in the Thames some time after. Nobody knew who the culprits were - anarchists, communists, fascists, the military, a foreign power. The only thing that was clear was someone with access to tons upon tons of TNT had wanted at least one person in attendance dead and didn't mind the collateral damage. Present day, 194X Years of chaos and civil war in Britain had finally passed, leaving Edward, Prince of Wales in charge of the country. His domain was much reduced. The colonies and dominions had drifted away, and he had abandoned them to their own devices, particularly the Africans whom he held in disdain. On his coronation day, he was crowned King of England and Wales. Apart from England and Wales, his kingdom held the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Orkney, and Bermuda. The Empire existed only in vestigial form, but Edward was determined not to let the sun set on it under his reign. He had encouraged the press to blame the bombing of Parliament on communists and other leftist agitators, but it didn't really matter who had done it now. He had drastically cut back constitutional limits on the monarchy, and rather than the Kingdom being a parliamentary republic paying lip service to a monarchy like it had been in his father's time, it was now the other way around. Edward VIII was crowned alongside Queen Wallis, and not even the church complained. It was now his duty to form a proper government, and he issued a radio address some time after his coronation. "We speak to you now on a matter most important, to address the proper governance of our land. In the difficult years since the passing of our king, you, our subjects, have wanted for a government which shall attend to your needs and the Kingdom's. The previous system, while noble in its goals, had miserably failed the people of Britain and its colonies and dominions across the seas. It allowed itself to be destroyed by traitorous elements which have yet to be brought to justice. It is because of this that we shall usher in a new age of a stronger government, selected and guided by the sovereign. We shall make our selection known in due time. The sun has set on the old British Empire, and many of its dominions now lay free of England's influence. This is for the best. We do not need hordes of uncivilized peoples holding us back from our destiny of becoming, and continuing to be the greatest nation on Earth. A new day dawns on the Kingdom of England and Wales. God bless you all." Edward did not appoint a prime minister for some time. Most of the people he wanted, including his first choice Lloyd George, had all perished along with his father. Edward continued to run the business of state and government himself, with a close knit group of advisors. His first act as king was to inaugurate Westminster Square. The ruins of the Palace had been razed to the ground and replaced with a square, dominated by a statue of Britannia that faced across the Thames and was even larger than Nelson's column. In the coming days, the military would be organized. A standing army was already in place in England and Wales, and much of the fleet still remained in Scapa Flow. Edward, being a supporter of air travel and a qualified pilot, intended to strengthen the RAF and build modern aircraft carriers to bring England into the modern age. A telegram was sent to the heads of state of most nations - deliberately leaving out the communist ones - announcing the coronation and inviting them to establish embassies in London. -------------------------------------- Factbook - Kingdom of England and Wales Head of State: Edward VIII Head of Government: Ditto, for now Form of Government: Absolute monarchy Capital: London Points breakdown: 150 points - tech year 1940 50 points - 500,000 soldiers 10 points - 3000 artillery pieces 15 points - 750 medium tanks 10 points - 1000 light tanks 15 points - 1500 fighters and bombers 25 points - 50 destroyers 25 points - 25 cruisers 3 points - 1 battlecruiser 50 points - 10 battleships 40 points - 4 carriers 20 points - 60 submarines Everything else - industry

  17. OOC: Anyone can vote. Voting will end in about 24 hours. Welcome to Your Local Voting Station Boston, Massachusetts November 21st Section 1: The Parties Republican Party: Republicans believe that everyone has the right to the same things: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They believe in States rights and in lowered taxes, as well as believing in keeping foreign influence on the nation to a minimum.. Democratic Party: The Democrats are essentially the opposites of the Republicans. Ideals include more authority in the federal government, higher taxes as well as more tax for the wealthy, and support foreign colonisation. This includes taking away the right to bear arms established by Coolidge. Harbor Party: People in the Harbor Party, called Harborcrats, believe that the United States of America needs to be reformed to not only what it once was, but to become greater. This also includes the belief that the Commonwealth should be based upon more American ideals, including but not limited to: The flag, seal, motto, beliefs, economics, and constitution. This essentially means they want to recreate the United States through expanding the borders and send the US into full reform. The party was founded a year ago by Malcolm Nichols and other American Enthusiasts. Section 2: President As recovered from the Boston Journal 3 days ago, a summary of the candidates: Section 3: Legislature And of these three parties could gain the majority this year, and any can drastically fall. Voting for the ideals of yourself and yourself only is required for a fair vote. Below is the parties and what year After Commonwealth Independence(ACI) they had majority in the past. Republican- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Democrat- 1 Harbor- None This could be the first year the Harbor Party gains the majority in the legislature, a major turn in events. Place your votes, folks! Note: Elected politicians will take office January 1st, 7 ACI.
  18. A messenger arrived at the Kremlin draped in a black wool uniform covering him head to toe showing the snow and ice still pelted to him. It was obvious how it bothered him he was no native to these lands. He had brought a letter for the Russian government stamped with the black eagle of Spain. "Our empires have survived much and have stood tall despite such resolve to break them, we would like to send a formal representative of the empire of Spain to the tsardom of Russia to discuss possible relations. Signed. Carlos Mendoza"
  19. Tsarina Forms Assembly, to Write Constitution Petrograd - Following years of reconstruction Tsarina Natalia has formed an assembly with the objective of writing a constitution which is to set the basis for a new Duma established by democratic elections. Additionally the Assembly has been tasked with establishing fundamental rights every Russian has regardless of race, gender or religion. The Assembly is composed of representatives from all factions within the Tsardom. While opening up the governing of the country to greater democratic control the Tsarina has made it clear that ultimate power within the Tsardom will remain with her however the new State Duma is to be able to directly check the use of it and serve in an advisory role. The move is expected to ease many of the lingering issues left in the wake of the Civil War and to prevent any future revolution from rising and destroying Russia.
  20. Berlin, Germany The young German Kaiser stood in front of the camera. At only 22 he was sure to be the youngest head of state in the world. He slicked back his bright blonde hair and began to speak. "Hallo to world national leaderz, We in Germany declare our independence and such. Good Day to all of you."

You know the rules for CNRP'40. If you don't, please, before making any IC posts please check out the map and rule thread of CNRP'40. That is also where you post map requests, not here. This is for OOC notices and others. To know your way around CNRP'40, we have created a portal to show you the way to anything. CNRP'40 Portal Section 1: Out-of-Character Threads Map & Rules Old Map & Rules OOC Thread Section 2: In-Character Threads Massachusetts(Peter Ilyich) News & Actions Spanish Empire News & Actions Persian DoE and Actions Note: The above is still under construction and will undergo regular editing. Necessary Information Sections 1: What is a GM? GM's, or Game Managers, are tasked with managing the game and making sure that everyone is following the rules. They are used a lot to regulate and dictate wars to make sure they are following the guidelines set previously. Section 2: Elections Every 3 months, there will be a 48-hour-long poll/vote in which the people in CNRP40 will vote upon GM's. Before this, there will be a 48-hour nomination period to get GM's to be voted upon. Section 3: Current GM's The current GM's are Peter Ilyich and Greywall, and elections will be held on February 4th to decide the new GM's. Please remember the rules for this thread, and pay attention to the portal to make sure you are posting in the right place. Any questions just ask a GM. We are all here to help! In regards to rules, the rules will always be changing. That is a purpose of this thread, to make sure that the rules suit what the community as a whole wants.
  22. LINK TO FULL Map Current as of 09/12/2014 Cybernations Roleplay "1940" Current GM's: Yerushalayim, Evangaline, and Uberstein Official Timescale: 1 RL month = 1 IC Year The Setting The year doesn't matter; we'd never all agree on a timeline anyway so you might as well use 19XX. The Map Maker's powers are limited to the following: Making the map; this means that it is the mapmaker's job to place the territory held by players onto the map. Denying unreasonable claims. The mapmaker may decline claims of excessive starting size (for example, China + Tibet + Mongolia, or Germany + Poland, would be excessive starting claims). This can be overruled by the GM team. Enforcing Section 3 through their Map Making powers. Maintaining Updated Rules: The mapmaker must keep the rules in the thread accurate and up to date. There are three (3) GM's, who are elected for two (2) month terms. The nomination period lasts 48 hours, followed by a 48 hour election. Only players with nations may vote. Their powers are explained below: Random Event rolls & points: Once a week the GM team may make a roll for a Random Event (Section 4). Nations targeted may opt out of the event. Nations which RP the Random Event out may earn up to 3 national points, the awarding of which must be approved by the full GM team. If a GM's nation is chosen, they are excluded from the GM team in terms of the vote. Dispute Arbitration: The GM team pause, retcon, or make rulings on roleplays in order to create a healthier community. During a dispute, the two parties must send a PM to all involved parties, as well as the full GM team. If a GM's nation is involved, they may not rule on the matter. Creation of Rule Polls: Alternations to rules must be made by the players. A player discussion must run for a minimum of one (1) week, after which polling options must be presented by the players. An option for the status quo must always be included in the poll. The poll runs for 48 hours. The winning option is then given to the mapmaker to be placed in the Map & Rules thread. Removal of Players: The GM team may create a poll to remove a player. A 75% majority is needed to remove a player from the RP. IC/OOC Line Enforcement: The GM team holds the exclusive power to retcon roleplay, without evidence, should the team as a whole suspect that the IC/OOC line is being toyed with or tampered. Emergence of Counter-Government Revolutionaries Drought/Poor Harvest Economic Recession Heavy Rains & Flooding Workers' Strikes in one or more major cities Soldiers' Strikes in one or more brigades Assassination/death of a government official Pandemic/Plague in one or more major cities Large National Disaster (Earthquake, large tornadoes, etc.) Economic/Industrial Disaster (Major mine collapses, price for specific commodity collapses, major ammunition factory explodes, etc.) Section 5: Community Drive Rules Changing the rules is up to the community.
  23. Following the dissolution of the United States and the seizure of Hawaii by imperialist bourgeois colonial interests, the local residents of Hawaii have fled in a small fleet and arrived in thinly occupied Alaska to establish the Social Kingdom of Hawaii in Exile. The bitter cold of this land of exile has hardened the Kanaka Maoli into a resolute fighting force intent on the survival of the Hawaiian People. Using the oil, gold and other resources of the former US territory, the Kanaka Maoli have adopted Sovereign Socialism and has been rapidly growing in industry and influence due to forward-thinking policies. Vast areas around the Yukon River are also being colonized, with most of the terrain surrounding the Yukon River being colonized by Kanaka Maoli settlements. Thus along with Alaska, the Yukon and parts of Northwest British Colombia are also being civilized by our culture. More information to follow.
  24. How Malcolm Nichols Will Transform Massachusetts How The Newly-Elected Harbor Follower Will Change the Nation Concord, Massachusetts- Just recently elected Harbor Party member Malcolm Nichols is a very smart man, but is he smart enough, and powerful enough, to take over State Street and transform our entire nation? The Boston Herald tackles this latest debate. Although the Harbor Party failed to win the first vote to recreate the United States of America, the party is still on it's feet, and Malcolm Nichols himself stated that the loss is only a "Minor setback that should be able to be put behind us rather quickly." Whether this will happen should be discovered sometime within the up-and-coming months as the party begins to enter a cool-down phase from it's recent frenzy on State Street. However, we are trailing away from the debate. The idea that Department of the Interior cabinet member will be able to transform Massachusetts is an interesting one. He has already established the CMS Constitution as a exhibit at the new Charlestown Naval Mueseum, and has come up with the idea of building a "Freedom Trail" with several monuments that represent American Freedom. Nichols has already begun transforming the Commonwealth of Massachusetts into the United States of America, State of Massachusetts. With likely many more ideas on the way, Malcolm Nichols is only just getting started on the road to the New United States. The question, unfortunately, that every single person in government has asked him is what if the other nations say no? After all, all three nations are in fantastic political, economical, and social positions as well as cultural. Unfortunately, the government has not been very revealing of their actions as of late and this information is the maximum the federal's have revealed.
