Hello there Cyberverse, I am your host as usual Mogar! Today's episode features new government from the RIA, now including myself, Croix, and The Decimator! The main story for tonight however is the continued attacks by Monster's Inc against Random Insanity's treaty partner, Shangri-La, hosted by the lovely Purplemoon! So our elections just ended - This is going to be an extremely interesting time. Clearly, the tequila and non-stop partying got to us this go because there is literally no excuse for the results of said election. We actually realized we were doomed from the start and gathered at a bar to watch the results roll in. We take this time to formally apologize for such a mistake. In fact, we can verify this was our reaction the moment that we realized the joke went to far. Also since I am terrible at formatting these things... We apologize for that too. Official Announcement from the Bills Reduction Agency (BRA) The Bills Reduction Agency (BRA) has been collecting past due notices from Children of the Morrighan for the past 44 days. We currently only have 2 bill collectors on staff and I fear the other has gone inactive. Thus far, I have collected 76,305 Infra, 43,224 and returned 537,388 Infra back to its rightful owner. A Random Insanity Production Finally an answer to all those asking where's Cactaur? We have been watching as our allies have been attacked needlessly and a supposed bloc was created by our former treaty partners in OBHFA to attempt to take over our sphere. We do not believe that CRAP nor GOD has done anything to destabilize the maroon sphere, and in fact the actions of M3D have already harmed our sphere recklessly. As such, this senate cycle we are running our own senator to combat the scourge facing our beloved maroon sphere. In light of the hostilities faced by our allies, we have decided to declare a state of war between Random Insanity Alliance and Nordreich. As always we remain hopeful that those within M3D realize that only through unity shall Maroon truly become great, and we hold open diplomatic channels to solve any perceived issues that may have transpired among those on Maroon. We hold no ill will towards our fellow maroon alliances, and perhaps after a few rounds of war they shall forgive whatever years old grudges they may still hold. #notmysenator #fakecactus

Following a minor dispute on the Maroon senate a few days ago, presumably regarding the “Pro peace” proposal, the leaders of TTK and RIA received these messages: As the remaining signatories are all either allied to one another, or essentially no longer exist as alliances, we are hereby announcing that “One Big Happy Family Accords” is considered defunct. We are not certain as to why the cancellation was necessary but are open to communication between our respective alliances to solve any misunderstanding that might exist, OBHFA had allowed for over 2 years of a peaceful maroon. An open letter to Non Grata Dear NG, We are glad you were able to put together this Bloc to take down the alliances of CRAP and GOD, with a combined NS of 2.6 million, compared with your own 5 million NS, Nordreich’s 4.6 million NS, and TLR’s 2.7 million NS. However we’re slightly confused, the treaty of M3D seems to effectively act as a DoW on the entirety of Maroon, yet strangely enough TTK was absent form the declaration of war. This is especially strange given the number of occasions on which your members have expressed distaste or contempt for us. You have declared war on the inactive, unprepared, and unconnected, but we would say we are the ones you most want to fight, although it seems you are unable to declare on us directly due to some crippling cowardice. Perhaps you want us to run headfirst into the jaws of Oculus, or perhaps you do not wish to offend those who may be somewhat sympathetic to us. Maybe you just wanted to test us, and call us cowards should we not do as you intend. Treasure Island. Who wouldn't want to find an island with buried gold? This story starts in 1700 with a girl named Kiyoko, born on the island of Dejima, Nagasaki, Japan. Born the daughter of a servant woman and an employee of the Dutch East India Company, Kiyoko was not given a very enjoyable life until 1712, when her family moved to Amsterdam with her father, though he did not acknowledge her as his daughter he maintained her mother as a Servant as a sort of atonement to ensure Kiyoko was not living in what he saw as the complete poverty of the Asians in comparison to his refined European taste. Her mother, Yoshiko died soon after they reached Amsterdam, and Kiyoko took it poorly, culminating in her eventually burning down her Father's Manor and escaping to England. Now being a young exotic girl in England all alone was not the wisest of ideas, but she had enough money taken from her father that she would manage for a few days until she had thought of the next step in this rather rash plan she had come up with. The first Inn she had reached that she felt seemed inactive enough that she would be left alone was the The Quiet Horse's Inn. A run down looking place, the furniture was nothing like she was used to in her father Manor and far closer to what she had remembered in Dejima. So much for refined european tastes, she thought to herself. Kiyoko paid the Innkeeper, an old Irish woman, for the next week and asked for her meals to be brought to her. The next several days were spent reading, she had learned how to read both Dutch and English at an early age due to her father's business, and soon learned that the so called "New World" the Europeans had found were said to be lawless, the Caribbean no longer a place for unhindered travel. Piracy had existed in Japan as well, it was common knowledge on Dejima who needed to be bribed to ensure safe passage, and with the Dutch East India Company as the monopoly of the island, they quickly made friends with those who did the pirating, turning a blind eye to their actions in exchange for their selection of targets focusing on the other East India Companies, providing the Dutch goods to be delivered cheapest and safest to Europe. Rob Selby, a poor sailor and occasional pirate, had checked in a few days later. The two finally met downstairs around the fireplace just before dinner time, the crackling of the fire the only sound other than their voices in the tavern. The exotic woman had inspired many questions for him, and for her, an attraction to the freedom and anonymity the seas provided. The two talked for hours and as the liquor flowed and with careful topic selection on Kiyoko's part, Rob came up with the idea the two should run off together to the new world and have a new start. Of course they would need money for this, she had a reasonable amount saved up, but Rob was wise enough to have her get a taste of the pirate life before trusting his future with the beautiful but mysterious stranger.

Once upon a time, Mogar was wandering around IRC looking for people to troll, and since the only active channel left on coldfront was #thebearcavalry, that is where he ended up! After an all nighter involving a lot of Alcohol and Debauchery , the governments of RIA and TBC were seeking to cure their hangovers with the best known remedy, a greasy plate of bacon. While they were chowing down on a heaping pile of delicious bacon while Shurukian ate some Kale, and large servings of Shadow's private reserve, they got to talking and the following agreement was written down on a slightly used napkin. Article I: We should probably not kill one another We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves. Dalai Lama In that spirit RIA and TBC agree to a peaceful coexistence as friends and allies. Article II: Something about information and !@#$ If either signatory catches wind of intelligence that affects the other signatory, they should share it over some steak and cold glass of whiskey. Article III: I don't know what to call this Clause While bears are awesome and cacti a prize to behold, it should be noted by any would be aggressors that an attack on one may be seen as an attack on the other. In that case either alliance is encouraged to come to the defense, whether financially or military of the other. Unless said attack occurs to Keres, Shurukian, or Kaitlink, in which case Mogar's gonna nuke whoever does to hell. The real problem of humanity is the following: we have paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions, and god-like technology. — E.O. Wilson With the world around silent, Los Angeles had swollen to a city of nearly forty million, quickly rising to rival Seoul and Tokyo for largest city within the Imperium and the world. Of course with such a dramatic population increase and hundreds of thousands of new arrivals a month, crime was a constant problem for the local Law enforcement. Surveillance was the easiest aspect but only prevented crimes in the commercial districts, the poorer residential areas were polluted with criminals and the dregs of society, but the city kept growing and the wealthy had long since retreated to their towers of glass and steel, turning a blind eye to the problems of the lower city. Though it was the City of Angels, the majority of the population felt that the gods had long since abandoned them. The Syndicate had absorbed the vast majority of the various gangs that had plagued the city before the Imperium's arrival, maintaining far more organization over the prostitution and drug trades that had filled their coffers with billions in profits that were quickly laundered through various banks under shell corporations. Ironically, the level of legitimacy required for such endeavors had meant the Syndicate had to behave just like any other corporation within the Imperium, even sponsoring several of the Formula One cars in the Imperium's global circuit. Kobayashi Corp, one of the companies originally set up to simply shovel ill gotten capital into, had managed to transform itself into a media giant, turning a healthy profit even before considering the Syndicates "cash infusions". Upon the Grand Prix of Long Beach is where our story begins, it was a typical race, with the exception of several of the audience members, the CEOs of several of the sponsors were all in a sky-box watching the race, Kelly Kobayashi had noticed her prey as he entered the spacious room. Most of the rich and powerful had augmentations that were unnoticeable beyond a metal detector or an X ray scanner, but it wasn't as though MoG[Corp]'s CEO was a normal case. The metal upon his right forearm showed clearly, allowing several small holographic projector to be open and easily used. It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness Chinese Proverb [hr] Mars, what a boring planet. it took decades to terraform, and even then the results were not ideal. Vast oceans covered about half the surface, funded by several EAI corporations to be a gateway to the outer rim, with Pluto being the final objective, most of the planets could not sustain life, but their moons could hold stations, beacons of humanity in the silent abyss. The trip took over a week of realtime, and honestly it was just a drag, most plugged into the latest holo game or movie, they just seemed to bore me after a while, I was left with a feeling of Hiraeth, a craving for a homeland that no longer existed. Nobody's did anymore, there were the occasional blips but mostly the various versions of Earth, Terra, they had all burned down to just a candle compared the roaring fires that once raged. Mars, to followup on some alleged ruins that were buried under the sand. The structures were not from the EAI, and looked nothing like the Tikal remnants the Imperium spent trillions chasing after among the stars. There was so much to still do, it was as though I needed to be in ten places at once. I wasn't even certain why I decided to follow this up, but the book that started my bizarre adventure what feels like centuries ago wouldn't shut up about the red dust ball. The oxygen would be breathable at least, though not incredibly appealing, similar to being on a mountain on earth on the surface, on the highest points of Mars I would require full oxygen and temperature protection, but my final destination was below the surface.

In the mean time rationing would begin, along with a propaganda campaign to attempt to keep the civilian population at least tolerant of the rationing, while they would be good hungrier than usual, they would be ensuring the survival of the surrounding peoples, one of the core tenants of the Imperium way of life, ethnicity and religious beliefs were of no meaning, a human was a human, and they all deserve equal treatment. Joseon The Peninsula had already begun its own recovery effort, Vertical farms were built in Northern Joseon, working on restoring the bread basket of the Imperium and allow them to provide assistance to the rest of Asia. Gyeongbokgung would begin restoration, having been ravaged by the war. Manchuria The last remaining mainland province was devastated, recovery of the mining and industrial sectors was of the highest priority. the population was decimated but happy to be freed from the harsh Mongolian treatment, being held in concentration camps for nearly the entirety of the conflict, the oppression was severe but simply ensured the Imperium as proverbial carrot to the stick. Aisu-shō The Imperium's R&D facilities had been working on overdrive to return to the technological dominance they once had, Kazuko had been on a tour of the province, walking along a beach just after what passed for dawn in this part of the world, just after 10:30am, a symbol of that technology, now abandoned sat upon the beach. the local governor was walking along with her and asked if they should remove it, but she gave him strict orders to leave it where it lay, yet another symbol to remind the Imperium's citizens of the cost of their freedom. Siak Republic Left mostly untouched, another Imperium industrial base needed to be recovered, more importantly was ensuring the Malaccan Economic Zone was secured. While there was not many things that actually managed to meet that requirement, Launch loops, while effective, were simply not enough for what he had planned to build. Space Elevators would allow the world's resources to be used upon far greater things than simply blowing each other up more effectively. Locations for three of them would allow for nearly equal capabilities for each of the continents, and ensure supply lines would not be too lengthy. The next step of course was to actually communicate with whomever remained, Alleged new super countries spawning from Belarus and Northlands meant there would be a large portion of his idea already completed, having the majority of the world under an active governance to ensure the most effective usage of resources. The first location was southeast of Singapore, and a simple phone call made that Space Elevator agreed upon. The Second and Third Locations would be slightly more effort and require someone else's pen. Congo was the next on the list, and meant speaking to Belarus. The conversation was left up to Katsuro to handle, his mother had gone off the deep end, she was somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, but that was about all she was good for as well. Katsuro would send a diplomatic cable to the Belorussian Foreign Affairs Office, with a similar message being sent to the Northlands to discuss a more civilized method of breaking up global governance. Mogar would do the same for the third location, most likely in Ecquador, for that land it would require the blessing of the United Caribbean States.

The Los Angeles City State had continued to make progress, the population were relatively indifferent to the idea of joining a nation with a capital halfway across the world, but on the other hand, the Imperium was one of the few nations left, and realistically the strongest. The process for the French territories to be annexed had continued but a North American holding would be far more risky for the Imperium to undertake, Several harbors would begin the process of expansion to be used as Imperium naval bases, as well as airfields within the territories. Care was taken to not overstep into Northern California, in respect to Cascadia. Imperium construction companies would begin the lengthy process to bring Los Angeles up to the same specifications as the rest of the Imperium, a task that would take decades. For now though, preparations were made for the Crown Prince to arrive and personally negotiate with the local governments to transition to Imperium territory.

With tensions cooled, briefly at least, Kazuko's next goal after Pacific Security was Arctic Security, the Nords had worked with the Imperium in the great war, and while communications had been lacking since then, it was time to change that.
