It was a pretty awesome movie with some good points about the direction the government is going, although for the movie to be fully accurate HYDRA would have to represent the interests of the international bankers (reasonable assumption considering how much funding it would need to operate, and that Hydra abandoned national socialist ideology).

If HYDRA represents the interests of the international bankers, it is reasonable to assume they would be sowing chaos in nations that reject the NWO (Syria, Libya, Iraq etc). After all, the government does this relatively openly in the name of democracy.

Funny, I actually joked about this with the friend I was watching the movie with. That HYDRA represented the "Illuminati", that the movie was talking about how they have infiltrated the US Government, and cause chaos around the world.

I think thats more or less what the film makers were hinting at; of course they cant say the real culprits so they use the accepted evil nazis meme.

I won't say the Winter Soldier was better than the Dark Knight, but it was one of my favorite Marvel movies. Definately recommend seeing it, I've seen it twice and thought I got my money's worth each time.

Captain America killed that guy he kicked off the boat lol. I also enjoyed when Bucky kicked that dude into the Helicopter...

I thought it was a run of the mill action movie, no better no worse. On par with Dark Knight, which was not particularly great anyway but whose biggest problem was the absolutely ridiculous British butler voice of Bane.

TWS had its own silly things, as movies must: the most advanced weapon system in the world needs to reach an altitude of 3000 feet before it can get a satellite signal? The ascent was supposed to build tension, but for me it was just 20 minutes of "oh really?" Good thing I don't need to get my car up to 3000' to get a GPS signal.

I was also frankly curious as to why they subtitled the film The Winter Soldier since, you know, Bucky is inconsequential to the plot; you could take him out of the movie and have the same movie. You could replace him with the French guy and have the same movie. More like Captain America: Andrew Pierce. But that's not catchy.
