An apology

The Zigur

Prior to the beginning of the war, I had posted a few blog posts, a number of which illuminated a number of global issues. Readership increased and views reached into the thousands. However, I neglected my journalistic duty as editor of the Lanisport Journal Editorial to achieve my objectives as Hand.

The position of Hand was very political in nature, and I was House Baratheon's primary high government intermediary with the coalition and head of foreign affairs. Because of how sensitive my position was, I had to stop writing editorials, delete my blog entries, and severely curtail my public activities.

Now that I am no longer government, I can return to providing my perspective on world affairs to you, my loyal readers. Although my views are often unpopular, that is no reason to hide them. Generally, forward thinking individuals shake things up too much for the establishment, but in the end history looks back upon them favorably. Hopefully the Lanisport Journal Editorial will be remembered for in depth journalism and clear ideological perspective.

I'd like to here more about why you are no longer hand.....I heard it was entertaining.

Go ahead and ask David Stilicho or Kesselring. They will be happy to provide official explanations. Contrary to popular belief I'm not disgruntled so I'll leave it at that.

It's really quite alright, we managed.

This! At first it was a bit hard to notice endure Tywin's silence, but eventually we coped with it.

I meant "endure"! I still don't know how I could type the other word... I blame autocorrect.

The sad thing from this is that what you say will still lower many people's opinions of HB, because you are associated with them far more than their actual government is. But it is a good step forward for HB for sure, as some people are absolutely not government material.

By any measure of advancing and improving an alliance, I am good govt. I'm confident, experienced and energetic, and my abilities were never questioned. I've installed and proposed changes within HB that will have long term effects. But I am also fascistic in government and that doesnt always rub people well.

I've got news for you then: a necessary part of being "good govt" is treating your fellow government members with respect and not acting like you know everything and that everybody should do whatever you say. Even in autocratic alliances, this is a necessary quality because in CN people ultimately vote with their feet, so there is no such thing as total power; if you treat others poorly they will either leave or make you leave (or just kick you out of gov).

I appreciate your advice, but I have been in government many times, and this is the first time I have actually ran into trouble internally, and that is for reasons that are not public.

Given your self-professed attitude, I somehow doubt this is the first time.

Congratulations Tywin, you got Goldie and I to agree on something.
