Arrow to the Knee?
Generally speaking, i work with some srsbsns, have not laughed in 10 years, dont be frivolous types.
I used to think that i was the only person in my organisation that owned a Gaming PC/Console/Game. I also used to think that i needed to make doubly sure that i did not let any gaming meme or term or whatever leak into my professional environment.
I also remember once, sending off a work email to my CEO signed : Best Regards - Alfred von Tirpitz - Triumvir - RoK... and having to explain why i should not be tested for schizophrenia. Recruiting in CN and working at work, multitasking.. do not gel, well.
Recently however, the same CEO in a meeting of departmental heads and quarterly review event type thing with cold sandwiches and hot coffee... was presenting the dismal performance of a particular SBU and was using a chart which tracked their performance.
As we can see here, they started off strong, with sales and profits going up for the first and second quarters, then halfway through the third quarter, here, at this point on the graph it seems like they took an arrow to the knee!
It was at that point that i let loose a laugh that was abruptly cut off as i saw the other members of the meeting look strangely at me and the CEO.
The meeting proceeded normally when the CEO informed everyone that it was an inside joke.. whew.
Later the two of us got together to compare notes on Skyrim, Oblivion and Lost Odyssey.
