Long-Term Peace Mode Nations of the Mushroom Kingdom

Haflinger

On January 24th, the Mushroom Kingdom, as a part of Doomhouse, declared war on the New Pacific Order. On January 26th, two days later, a group of alliances countered with the bulk of their higher NS nations in peace mode.

At the time of the counter-declarations, the following Mushroom Kingdom nations were in peace mode, and have been in peace mode continuously since then.

Total non-fighting NS: 773,405.145

Total non-fighting infra: 151,004.32 (24.55% of MK's total infra)

Also notable are the following nations.

Yes, Stumpy, bros, and Zuli are all hippies. I'm sure they're chafing just as much as I am.

Stop trying to pretend you're not ordering your people into peace mode, MK. And that includes the obvious banks (over 10K infra and under 1K tech? NO THIS IS NOT A GOOD FIGHTING NATION).

This isn't a list of who's sitting in peace mode.

This is a list of nations who have not fought at all.

Try doing a comparable list of NPO, I think you'll find that a lot less than a quarter of their infra has been in dove for the entire war.

Okay then can you tell me why it's remarkable that 12% of MK's NS hasn't fought at all?

I believe it's meant to reflect on the various criticisms MK has leveled about other alliances using long-term peace mode as a strategy to protect certain nations.

Which was stupid, because it obviously makes sense to do so. So much sense, that MK is doing it itself.

Because Doomhouse allegedly is keeping NPO at war because peace mode should not be used to avoid alliance wars completely.

Or so you guys say.

Yeah, we've got nations in peace mode for a variety of reasons, from strategic to people being away on vacation (or just not being able to be online as much as a protracted war necessitates) and so on. Yes, we are making surrender for NPO reliant upon them bringing out a sizeable proportion of their peace mode corps into war mode, for a specific period of time. The reason for this is simple. We entered this war for both short-term tactical and long-term strategic reasons.

In terms of the latter, it was important to successfully remove a significant amount of NPO's fighting capacity because the Hopeless Coalition - in both peace and war - is wholly reliant upon Pacific for strength and direction. Weakening NPO is in essence removing the head and sword arm of those that oppose us. Now, we will achieve our goals. The only variable is whether it is done quickly, or protracted over several more weeks. Given that the vast majority of our forces are in fact not in peace mode, we are able to not only fund a lengthy war, but also begin rebuilding. The longer that NPO and the Hopeless Coalition chooses to drag this out, the more they set their own reconstruction back.

So, yeah, we've got people in peace mode. So what? We have the capacity to keep them there, NPO does not. I really couldn't care less if the dregs of the Cyberverse call it "hypocrisy". Plan your wars a little better next time.

Just taking the permanent hippies from NPO's first page (top 40) gave me 3.35 million NS in peace mode, which is about 53% of their NS (6.32 million)

Total infra of those nations is 560k which is 56% of NPO's total infra (1 million).

So it's not "a lot less than a quarter of their infra", it's a lot more than a quarter of their infra. It's like, more than two times the quarter of their infra.

So, you're allowed to have nations in PM "for a variety of reasons, from strategic to people being away on vacation (or just not being able to be online as much as a protracted war necessitates) and so on.", but NPO is not?

OK.

Yes.

Just try and stop us.

Stumpy always talked a good fight and MK have never been the most honourable alliance. They say one thing and do another themselves. How many other alliance would call leaving their best friend GOONs 1 to die alone a strategic victories. :lol1:

If you went through all the trouble of removing the head and arm, wouldn't you just want to do it again as soon as it grew back?

Wouldn't it be easier to place the "Hopeless Coalition" in E-ZI? Oh wait, we are under a slightly nerfed E-ZI sentence.

DH: You can grow, but we're going to trim you as soon as we get uncomfortable with your growth whenever we damn please. And we'll do it again.

It's a bloody leap of faith, just like any other peace terms ever.
