Hard evidence in the Sedrick case.

I collected the aidscreens, war screens, and spy screens connecting to Sedrick before the alliance war began, and sorted them all in chronological order.

That's the hard evidence. It shows that Sedrick was a happy member of TENE, selling tech to Ragnarok, on the afternoon of August 4th. Something happened between 3pm and 6pm; in roughly 3 hours Sedrick has become an MHA applicant and is being targeted by a TENE nation for spy attacks. A bit over 48 hours later, Sedrick responds by launching a war against TENE, while still flying the MHA affiliation, and then just a bit over 3 hours later he's unaligned and launches a second war.

A little bit over 20 hours later on the 7th, Ragnarok attacks him while he's flying the NSO affiliation. Incidentally his alliance seniority date is 8/7/2010 8:46:31 PM, which means that RoK attacked literally 3 hours after he'd joined the NSO AA.

The aid is sent by NSO 40 minutes after Sedrick is attacked.

A very nice summary. Well done.'

The implication in the OWF is that Sedrick got the aid from NSO and then the Rok nations declared, when in fact the opposite is true.

I'm also wondering if you could include the times/dates of the logs of Hoo's conversation with NSO in which he stated that aid meant war.

He was targeted by TENE apparently, but that does not mean that he didn't do a successful spy attack previously as was claimed.

Looking at the hard evidence, there simply isn't any that he did. That means the only person who can testify that he did and be 100% credible is Sedrick (and of course Admin, who isn't talking). Of course he is free to deny having done it and could be guilty as sin. Unless you can come up with enough circumstantial evidence (and why spy when he showed later he'd simply declare war), reasonable doubt is there.

Some additional bit for the chronology...

Your point? This has happened on a number of occasions (such as Aircastle, etc.) in previous wars.

TENE members have also said that he refused to pay back startup aid when he left, which is possibly the catalyst for this whole series of events, but they have never shown any proof of this to my knowledge. I just wanted to point out it was not just his supposed spy attacks that caused TENE to spy on him. We are in "he said, she said" territory there.

Though all of this is pretty much moot after the conversation that Hoo & heft had, followed by the aid NSO sent.

How is aggressively attacking a member of a sovereign alliance without talking to the alliance first moot? ever? While NSO did make a mistake with the Aid; RoK made a mistake first by attacking an aligned nation.

NSO has apologized for their mistake and are sticking to their guns and standing up for their members. Nothing but respect for them from me. Owning up to your mistakes and seeing them through. Take notes.

If this is such an outrage, shouldn't you be, you know, defending your allies? I mean, I'm sure Ragnarok & Co. appreciate all the 'strongly-worded letters' you're sending, but they're having precisely zero effect.

You want to drive some kind of wedge between Ragnarok and its allies? OK, good luck with that. It won't work.

You want to provide some kind of comfort to the NSO and further reinforce their martyr complex? OK, good luck with that, too.

But you should know by now that you're not going to change a single mind with this. Yours is yet another voice drowned out in a sea of topics/blogs about 'My Perspective on the War'.

Oh I've already given the noobs at Valhalla the lecture on what the differences are between a grant, a loan, and a payment (and why you should follow agreements and get things in writing) based on the departure portion of this whole saga alone.

This just interested me because it was more an examination of the hard facts of the case, versus circumstantial evidence or matters of opinion. Too often the facts in cases like this get tossed aside in favor of someone's party line.

Frankly, I'm surprised at you here; are you looking to set up a treaty conflict for your alliance?

Actually, no I don't. Well, it would be nice to, but that's not what I'm setting out to achieve here. I'm quite aware of the fact that Ragnarok's allies are good with the idea of putting Hoo in charge of admissions policy at random alliances.

lol

NSO aren't a bunch of pansies. I don't need to provide "comfort" to them.

Actually, this is where you're wrong. But I don't really need to argue that one.

The logs would play a pretty big part. If the talks came before the aid, you "could" say it was justified, if they came after, then, well, you can't.

Yep. I didn't say they were irrelevant, just that they're not hard evidence, which is what this blog entry is.

Yeah, this is completely not a big deal. This happens in lots of wars. We've done it.

There is MUCH more evidence then this one screenshot. It is also missing 4 of Sedrick's wars.

I do believe there is a phrase... Oh yeah. "Screenshot or it didn't happen."

This is our standard operating procedure when we're rolling on short notice. While we did wait for Hoo to post his declaration, we did not waste timing waiting for the wording of our declaration to be finalized. When pressed for time we have and will always choose to spend it organizing our attacks, not writing pretty words.
