No Major War Since 2013?! That's Crazy!

I noticed that there hasn't been a global war since 2013, when, in the past, there have been global wars every 3 or so months. I can imagine that by now, everyone is very restless and waiting for the next big conflict. I imagine that since we've waited so long, when the next global war comes forth, it will unleash a tidal wave and shake the very fabric of this game.

What do you think?

The last one did end in 2014.

Disorder War: 31 Oct 2013—17 Feb 2014

And no, new guy, major wars don't usually happen every 3 months. More like every 6-8 months, sometimes longer.

There may not be another major war until 2015.

We are prospering in this era of Global Stability. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Just because there is no global war does not mean that this is a stable world. It is the complete opposite of that.

He never said "usually" happens every 3 months, he said they used to. The first 3 global wars where only a few months apart each.

The first few global wars also lasted a little more than a week or two.

Great War I-17 Days

Great War II 5 days for the League to surrender, just over 3 weeks for LUE

Great War III 5 days short of a month

Unjust War 2 weeks.

Modern wars take over a month for the parties to be fully engaged, let alone for anyone to start talking about endgame.

All the war starters were run out of power, out of the game or into isolated pockets. When the meek inheret the world you get a meek world. Sure its nice and safe and orderly but its as boring as watching a bucket of paint with the lid off. Ever so slowly a fine skin forms over the surface. That and meek people are cowards by nature who avoid confrontation at all costs out of fear but blame logical reasons like it being counterproductive, unintellegent or being very damaging to all involved.

This. CN has spent so much time running out those who make the game fun, it actually succeeded. NpO only backdoors into wars now, NPO can't, TOP has no politically power. This is what you get.

I'm actually okay with this prolonged peace. The last war went on for far too long. Longer than any previous great war. It's given the losing side enough time to rebuild warchests and tech. Thanks!

There is some truth to this. It used to be the winning side would press its advantage, roll the losing side before it could rebuild again. Lather, rinse, repeat until enough people got pissed and did something about it. The cycle doesn't work.
