Who is Rebel Virginia?

Rebel Virginia

It seems that I am a rather misunderstood individual. People question my motives. Allow me to explain. Allow me to better acquaint myself with you.

I am a man who has always had a firm sense of justice. I am a man who opposes tyranny in whatever form it may take. It used to be the NPO, and before that the UjP, and before that the once dominant League and CoaLUEtion, who opposed bringing to justice those guilty of grievous moral crimes. So you see, I am not loyal to any one side or alliance. I am the loyal and ever present companion of Justice.

And who better to serve justice than the downtrodden? That is why I oppose whoever is in power. For those in power will always abuse it, so it is the oppressed and downtrodden masses who will correct that wrong.

Why must I take up this burden? Because I am one of the few the the fortitude and sense of righteousness needed to take up such a noble endeavor. While lesser men would always pick the winning battles, I instead opt for the losing ones. The impossible battles. Every enemy I have vowed to destroy has meant its demise, but never by my hand. I merely set into play the motions leading to their downfall before joining their side. For soon they will be the ones needed my righteous hand.

It could be said that my support is an omen of doom. Perhaps that is true. But rest assured, it is only because the power that you wielded will soon be used against you. You can count on my support in your defense, however. I, your protector, your savior.

Now you understand why I do the things that I do. Because someone must, and only I have what it takes. Justice will always prevail, and I am its embodiment.

Well.as one who has lived his life as a supporter of the "underdog", I welcome your comment. However, it is our shared responsibility to carefully weigh the sides of a circumstance when determining the "underdog", as well as the validity of the position they hold on a subject.

Nothing sux worse than supporting someone later found to be unworthy. Then, I must become the avenging angel of holocaust, and other unpleasant forms of inter-galactic retribution. That always makes my laundry bill go up. Cleaning the cape can get expensive sometimes, ya know!

Puttin' th' kybosh on somebody can really wreck your schedule. But, when the cause is just, I will defend the "underdog" until the end. Strangely enough (and, as luck would have it), it appears that I am in an Alliance whos members seem to think this very same way. Go figger! :)

Justice is not merely for the mighty, or the wealth-laden. Nor is the monolith always at fault. It is to you and I, and those like-minded souls on Planet Bob, to ensure that justice prevails. (Just remember I can't do no super-heroin' on Wednesday afternoons--golf ya know!)

Best Wishes, etc.,

Merlinus

Merlinus, there is a reason I always change sides after supporting the underdog. The underdog will always be found to be just as unworthy as the former champion, hence why I must then work to take down those I once supported. I am a man of principle.

Show me one instance were the underdog has gotten away with a crime? Has never happened.

I suppose that depends on whether or not you consider Freudenschade/Wampler/whatever the hell name that pirate goes by these days to be an underdog. ;) But other than that, I would agree.

Ah, so for you, finding the underdog pretty much guarantees that you will become the underdog?

Well, that's umm, well...unique. So, it's not finding 'em, it's becoming them that does it for ya? That's an interesting philosophy, especially in light of the mind of a "principled" man. (I had a principle once. No, REALLY! I DID!) I guess at least you get a good workout every now and again.

Tell me, what happens to these newly glowing nations once you have overcome them with your sense of justice? Just wonderin'.

All I really see from this is that you will eventually isolate yourself from everyone on each side. Which, to be honest, you have just about achieved.

I am my own side. And whether you like it or not one day you will view me as your hero and your savior (again).

At least with the recent incident I know for a fact that there are people too incompetent for you to defend.

Incorrect. I simply draw a line between IC and OOC. That is more than can be said for the rest of you.

I'm ODN, I only go on the winning side~

I know half (if not more) of it is the persona you choose to play or whatever for laughs, but honestly the biggest problem you run into is you dilute your own goals via your own actions.

I've seen threads before where you start off with a half way decent stance, but then by the time you get done filling in all your little jesusesqe stuff I feel like I'm reading mad libs and any import within has gone out the window. In the alternative, you run after nothing at all like Don Quixote with rabies foaming at the mouth and spouting absolute nonsense the moment you perceive and insult to whatever group or cause your affiliated with at the time, grasp at straws to do it, then come off looking like a complete idiot (and yes, you know it and so does everyone else) and as a result the next time you actually are on about something important your words have that much less weight.

If you actually wanted to "help the underdog" (which you don't, you just find confrontation amusing, though I guess it amounts to the same thing), you would tweak the persona a bit. It's not...efficient...in regards to your aims.

Rebel Virginia, I don't know you or your exploits in this game, but I too enjoy an engaging conversation. Justice is a term that is very difficult to define, what is Justice to one may not be Justice to another. As all individuals are your entitled to define the term for yourself, however something worthy of note at least by my definition of Justice is that most of the time, Justice is enforced through Unjust means.

I don't know if that came across right, let me given an example of what I mean, I do this so that you understand where I am coming from, please do not take this as anything more. A tyrannical king might be over through by a new king, but in the process the new king will burn the old kings castle to the ground, loot and plunder. Fighting for justice against the new king is one thing, but the actions that are associated with it are not.

Before my rambling gets much further, in your exploits have you ever felt you were defending the fall of tyranny through unjust means?

Who is Rebel Virginia?

He plays the role of a romantic and somewhat random/crazy individual, for fun.

I am also generally entertained by his quality crusades and for sure I don't complain!

Justice is best left to the Law and to the courts, i agree power in a corrupting force, but not all power is corrupting take jesus for example look at all the good he did :smug:

I agree with only what i know to be true in certain alliances, that is this:

That people in power wish to retain that power,

Checks are put in place to ensure they do,

Democratic is only a word,

Corruption is everywhere.

You show me any world leader that hasnt got some dirt on his hands somewhere along the line and ill show you poverty, murder, and hate.

Nothing will every change and certainly total anarchy wont solve anything ethier, Justice whats justice but an apple of of a tree.

Justice does not excist it never has its word like freedom placed to control to programme the masses into believe that there is such a thing. If there was any justice in the world there would be poverty, no crime, no murder, because real justice has no boarders.

I conclude with this: Life is moments in time with choices attached, choose to conform or choose not to. WE didnt write the rules, we cant re-write them, we simply choose to wether or not we will conform to them.
